Postpone the contract

Hello, 

I have a contract with o2 with monthly payments. However due to Covid-19 I have not been in Germany for the past 1 month or more. Since we don’t know how long this situation will be and I am out of the country (out of EU in general) is there any way to put the contract on hold for a few months? Please let me know how to proceed.

thanks for contacting our English community.

 

I understand your situation.

 

In general, you have the possibility to freeze your contract for a period of at least 2 months and for a maximum period of 12 months. But for this procedure you need a contract that is active for at least 6 months.

 

Unfortunately, you started your contract on 22nd January 2020. Therefore, you only can freeze your contract beginning with 22nd July 2020.

 

I regret that I cannot offer you any other solution at the moment.
