Why do you think you have been overcharged? You received two invoices from o2 for the same period? You will need to provide some more information (dates, amounts, etc.) for somebody to be able to help you here in the forum.

HI,

I purchased an iPhone SE combined with a mobile contract (O2 Free M 20GB) my understanding that because I bought the two together in February, I would get a discount and thus the total payment would be 35 euros.

I was charged on the 15/02 20.5 Euro and then charged for the contract on the 04/03 40.62 Euro’s.

My Understanding: 30 Euro for the contract but if I chose the phone as well it was 35Euro’s all together (see below image).

Please could you clarify why I was charged twice and why I was overcharged.

Have you looked at the invoice in detail? I assume it is the connection charge of 39,99 plus a pro rata payment for the first month.

HI,

I should be charged 35 Euro as per the snapshot (why should I be charged 39.99?

Also here is my invoice:

In your screenshot it clearly states there is a one time  connection fee of 39,99! However you seem to have been charged for calls. Did you make calls to telephone numbers not covered by your flatrate? Für example calls abroad or to non-geographic service numbers?

Also, check the contract to make sure you were given the conditions you expected. Your screenshot is just the information from the online shop.

Hi,

How can I confirm what was the amount for overseas calls or what calls I am paying for. I only made 1 overseas call and I would like to confirm how much that cost me. Otherwise I only use Watsapp or Facetime - would this be considered an Overseas call?

If the above invoice is for the online shop - what exactly did I pay and what am I going to be charged for?

Also why would my contract state something different if that is not what I ordered?

Did you request an itemised bill (Einzelverbindungsnachweis) when you concluded the contract? If you did, then in the customer portal you should be able to download this in the same place as the invoice itself.

Which country was the call to and for how long?

WhatsApp and Facetime use the Internet.

The screenshot is from the online shop, and your contract should not state anything sifferent, but if it does then you should have objected.

Hello @Melissa01, welcome at our community.

I am happy that bs0 helped you that quick. Is everything okay now? Please let me know :relaxed:

Kind regards, Ines.

Good day,

I have been charged about 28 euro’s for service charges  (this month and last month) and I would like to find out why? As I have not made any overseas calls. Please could you explain how I can find out where the 28 euro’s is coming from as maybe there is a setting in my phone that is incorrect.

HI,

No this is not sorted I was charged again for services and connections. Is there a way I can request an Itemized bill to review what I am being charged for as I would like to reduce this cost.

Hi @Melissa01

thanks for your messages concerning your invoices. As you can see, I combined both threads here.

I understand that you would like to know why your invoice is so high. But unfortunately, you only agreed to the itemized billing on 31st March 2021.

We take data-security very serious. Therefore, I am not able to tell you any details about the last 2 invoices.

Did you travel to a country outside of Europe?

Did you call somebody from Germany who lives in another country?

Did you use special numbers that are not included in your flatrates?

These are some of the possibilities for the extra charge .

Loving greetings,

Tobias

HI,

Thank you for combining the threads.

I understand that you would like to know why your invoice is so high. But unfortunately, you only agreed to the itemized billing on 31st March 2021. We take data-security very serious. Therefore, I am not able to tell you any details about the last 2 invoices.

With regards to the above statement I have 3 questions:

  1.  If you can’t show me previous statements - where / how would I be able to request this? This is my data and I should be able to access this.
  2. If I have selected the itemized bill on the 31st of March. When will I be able to see the itemized bill from? Will it only show me when we are invoiced or will it show me up to date information but only from 31st March?
  3. If this was available for me to see earlier when I questioned my Feb invoice - why was I not given this option earlier to select the Itemized bill? This seems very suspicious that this was not given to me as an option when I queried my invoice over a month ago. As March costs could have been avoided and now I might be charged in April where I am trying to avoid additional costs.

I called outside the country in Feb but in March I did not call anyone so thus my concern as to the high connection cost for March. Please could you send me my itemized bill for Feb and March by mail as this would help me to secure that this will not be a problem going forward.

If I get charged in my April invoice, I would be very upset as I have tried to get help from O2 for the past 2 months and no one has assisted me with where I am being charged.

  1. It is not possible to give you information that does not exist. If you don’t request an EVN and consent to the data being saved then o2 is legally obliged not to store it.
  2. It will show itemised charges with effect from the billing period following 31st March.
  3. You were given the option when you concluded the contract and it is also available in the customer portal. Nothing suspicious at all.

Hi @Melissa01

@bs0 is totally right.

You will only be able to get the itemized bill for future invoices.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
