Hello, is O2 prepaid S just EUR 9.99/month or is there any starting fees to that or is there any service which the shop charge you? I took prepaid S plan urgently and didn’t really check the website before and it costed EUR 30 just for this month. Just would like to check if that’s normal. 

And also, does one need to top up with credit amount every month or is it ok to skip one month and top up in the next month? Thanks!!!

It's great that you've contacted us here in the community with your question.🙂 I was happy to look it up for you. The card was activated with €10.00 credit and then o2 Preapaid S was activated for €9.99. Your credit is therefore almost used up. I have not been able to see a charge for €30.00.

Thank you for your answer. I think EUR 30 was never credited to my SIM card. If you look at the credit history which is attached here, there was only a EUR 9.99 debited. I am just trying to figure out if the extra EUR 20 was a joining fee or if the shop overcharged me. Thank you so much.

as Bianca wrote, 10 € were issued to your Prepaid card and then 9,99 € used to order the Prepaid S Option. For your o2 Loop or Freikarte there is no one time fee - that is why we call it Freikarte=free card.

This option will be active for 4 weeks, when you have a balance of 10 € again, it will automatically extend for 9,99 € again and 4 weeks again.

OK...I see. Thanks. Then I was overcharged EUR 20, which is really a surprise to me for here. The other day, my friend got the same plan from Deutsche Telekom with just EUR 10. The people from the store were really nice also.

that is not so nice if you paid 30 € but have a balance of 10 € with your prepaid card.

Have tried to go to the shop again to have them explain the reason you were charged 30 €?

Thanks...it was so not nice actually, especially as a student, I value every penny.

I didn't have to go back to the shop again because it was pretty clear that the guy from the shop said, I have to pay €30 as the first time fees (No exceptions!) and then I can top up with €10 every 4 weeks. As I have explained above, I took it urgently as it was just after my arrival to Germany and I didn't have any internet connection which I urgently needed for my communications. 

After I checked the O2 website, the prepaid SIM card I took only costs €10 (no additional fees should be paid). So it was pretty clear to me that the guy from the shop took advantage of the lack of prior information from the customer's side.  

Even if I went back to the shop and asked him about why he charged me additional €20, we both know that's not gonna make any difference or help me in anyway.

Hi @o2_Michi, unfortunately I just paid the amount. I didn’t get a receipt. And obviously he wouldn’t give me one, would he? And I considered this as a lesson learned. So thanks for all of your answers anyway.
