@GreenForestOG The speed is normal for LTE Band 20 connections during the day.  what is your zip code?

@Joe Doe Zip code is 06772, more precisely say it is Tornau. By the way, in the evening speed drops down to 5 Mb/s. 

I do not think that 10% of the contractual speed is a normal thing, something is definitely wrong, either the actual speed or the targeted speed in the contract.

@GreenForestOG As feared.  There is only one band 20 (800 MHZ) BTS in your area.  If there are few people there, count on a speed of 50/20. Depending on the workload, less.  You should never have been offered a my Home M for this address.  This is technically never possible with a band 20 BTS.  At most at night when you are alone online.  max my Home S should been offered. (up to 50/10) Only upgrading to another LTE band (1, 3 or 7  ) for higher speeds would help.  
I doubt if that will happen from o2 side. Look what an o2 moderator will say.

@Joe Doe thank you very much for your analysis. The main issue seems in the missing (or weak) filtering of the available contract options for given address as you said. Looks like I need to ask to change my contract to DSL option...

I think in your case a cable connection via DSL is more suitable than a cellular connection. Therefore, you should consider a technology change to DSL.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your attention and suggested solution.

I would actually consider 2 options, taking in account the upcoming fiberglass connection availability in my location which is expected in the beginning of this Summer:

1. change to DSL now (actually in the middle of March or even later due to the field technical staff busyness I guess), and then change to fiberglass when it is available.

2. survive with LTE untill fiberglass is available.

I can not make a final decision without the information about the overal expences (including the DSL and/or fiberglass physical connection establishing, router(s) purchase, etc.) of the above options. I would like to get such information first, or to discuss this topic with respective o2 experts team member by phone or e-mail. It would be nice if you could help me getting in touch with the right person.

It may be a long time before fibre is available, so I would just suggest switching to DSL now, or you stick with your LTE Connection. 

If you opt for DSL, I recommend the o2 my Home M DSL tariff for 34.99 euros/month 100MBit Down/40 MBit Up.  You need a DSL-capable router, which you can borrow from us for a monthly fee or buy at an electronics store.  If you choose our router, I recommend the Fritzbox 7590 AX for 6.99 euros/month.

The changeover to DSL will take about 4 weeks. If you will go that way we are going to switch to private message because we need some additional info.
