My wife passed away few weeks ago. I called to cancel her contract and to keep her number,

the contract was canceled and an o2 employee said it was possible for me to take the number

But then few weeks I received a different number not my wife's number, I called o2 and they told me that I've to after 5days the number well switched automatically

But its been weeks and still i haven't gotten the number.

I've called and called but nothing happens. I'm quit disappointed and  for my more than 7years I've been using o2.

Is there something I need to do, I need this number  urgently.

My deepest condolences for your loss.

How should the number be transferred? On a new contract or on your existing tarif? Should you fill out a porting form?

How long has the number been switched off?

Thanks, I wanted the number to be added to my existing tarif, but with the basic  contract of 4.99euros a month. My wife's number was also from o2.

did you fill out a form?

No because the o2 employee told me we could do everything on the phone, then he let me answer some questions about the contract and the he said it's ok,

Where should I get this form.

internal porting form

Hello @Birdence,

I would first like to express my sincere condolences for your loss.

The normal process in such a case is that the contract is either canceled or the contract owner is changed for the entire contract with the telephone number using this online form: Vorgehen Vertrag Todesfall (o2online.de)

A subsequent porting of the phone number after termination is rather unusual. Together with the form from Bumer, please also submit a copy of the death certificate so that the telephone number can be released.

You may need to confirm as well that you are authorized to use the phone number. In this case you will be informed again separately.

I'm sorry that this is so inconvenient for you.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best regards

Giulia

Thank you, I'll fill out the form and send to o2.

then report back whether everything worked or if there are any further problems.

Thank you Giulia,

When I called o2, they told me to send the death Certificate which i did, and the contract was canceled and I was even told to send back the handy which my wife was using that she had with the contract which I did.

But I just wanted the number and they said it's ok I can have the number but then I was send a different number by post.

Regards ,

Birdence.

Hello @Birdence,

have you requested to have the number of the contract of your late wife transferred to your number via this form

Usually then you are contacted via SMS about when the number is transferred and replaces the number of your current contract.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
