I have the 10 euro O2 prepaid plan with 8gb data, with a 6 month validity, valid in EU countries. I am far from reaching any of those limits.

In Croatia I have no internet connection and the cellular symbol is grayed out and only show weak signals (G, H and 3G). I have restarted the phone and reset network settings to no avail. 

Does anyone have advice on what to try next?

what is your APN?


The APN is 'O2 Internet'. I have roaming switched on.


The APN for o2 prepaid is: *pinternet.interkom.de*

Have you checked it with the APN that Bumer provided? You should have several providers to chose from.

Please let us know if it is working now.

Unfortunately I only have one APN to choose from, which is the one above. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi Bumer, I have changed the name of the APN to what your provided and restarted the phone but still have no luck. Is there a field in the APN I should change as well? 

For additional context, the internet issues started in Slovenia. I had no problems on the first day there and then the problem described appeared and has continued into Croatia. I have found it puzzling and inconvenient. Roaming was on the entire time. 

Another peculiarity of the prepaid plan is that since day 1 the credit balance has shown 0. I was able to use internet no problems and make some calls but not others. I don't think credit is the issue but am open to recharging to see if it makes a difference. I am unable to install the O2  recharge app on Croatia and wonder if there is another way to make a one off recharge?

if you have a PayPal account, you can add it to your Mein o2 as method of payment.

You chose "Guthaben & Aufladen"/"Express-Aufladung", followed by "Zahlungsmittel verwalten" and then "Neues PayPal Konto hinzufügen" - if then there is a checkbox you have to activate it.

Then you log into your PayPal account and confirm o2 express charge as authorized user. Afterwards you are led back to our express charge website and confirm there.

Then you can recharge via PayPal.
