name change. there is a spelling error

Hello there is a spelling error in my name and I want to correct it how can I do that?

have you tried the tipp from Bumer already? You can also contact our Prepaid team by phone or Chat: Kontakt aufnehmen und Hilfe finden | o2 (o2online.de) to have your name corrected.

If the number is still active, you would also need to have it released by them.

@Arc2023 a mod will change your name into the name you wish. but u need a little patience.. it can take up to a few days.

My surname spelling is written wrongly. It doesn't match my id.

Are you a prepaid customer, is it about this SIM card where your last name was misspelled or which contract is it about?

I have prepaid sim card. Now I want to port the number to another provider, but the name in o2 contract has error. This is causing problem with porting. How should I correct the name?Thank you

Can't you give the new provider the name as it is stored with o2? Most providers offer porting with different data.

Hello @o2_Giulia,

The first application to port got rejected because of O2 having incorrect last name. Next, I tried to create another application with the same name as in O2. But now the other operator says there is already a application for this number, it cannot accept another. I am now stuck, the number will be terminated by O2 and the other operator is not accepting my porting request. 

 

Is there any way that I can cancel this number porting and remain in  O2? I do not want to loose my current number. Thanks in advance.

Hello @Arc2023,

at the moment, the number will not be ported, as the only request has been denied. Your prepaid contract is therefore continued.

However, the number is still released for porting until September 30th, if you want to try again.
