My roaming is not working abroad


Hi,

 

I have this issue where my data is not working abroad. It works in Germany but nowhere else. Calling works too.

I often travel to Slovakia and on my way through Poland it doesn’t work as well.

I tried manually selecting network that didn’t help. I reset the APN connections didn’t help.

Turned off preference of 4G LTE didn’t work. Roaming is turned on so don’t ask me this. I tried SIM card in other device and that didn’t help as well. Last month I asked for SIM card change and even new SIM doesn’t work. I tried to order roaming option to my current data plan and that didn’t help. I am at loss. 

Please help me or I will be forced to change operator.

Is your request for a prepaid or a fixed-term contract?

Hello @Jozefff,

as already mentioned in my answer which I sent you via private message I am also going to inform you here that I just checked whether your card is blocked abroad. However, this is not the case, which means that the network/your card should not be the problem.

Are you abroad at the moment? Or are you in Germany?
If you’re in Germany right now it will be difficult to check if something works now.

But let’s see if we can find something - which phone do you use at the moment?

Yes I am abroad at the moment. I am currently using Asus zenfone max pro m1. I also tried SIM card in Google Pixel 4a. Doesn’t work in both.

I am currently in Slovakia.

There are available networks:

None of these 4G works. My phone always connects to 3G. And that doesnt work as well. I have other sim card in my phone and that one has no issue connecting. Before your ask, yes I tried taking the other sim card out but Stilla that doesnt help.

Hello @Jozefff,

of course, a lot depends on the local network coverage. Depending on how good the signal is at your location of the respective network you are connected to, there may of course be restrictions.
Do you only have internet problems or can you also not make phone calls and send texts?
