Money is deducted after leaving Germany and city de-registration


Hi, 

 

I have left Germany and moved to abroad permanently on 26th July, 2022. I have cancelled my contract, sent the router (device: Serial no. A805037184) via DHL service, de-registered from Bochum city. Please find the attached document confirming these statements. 

But, still money is deducted for this month from my bank account.  I want a full refund of this money.  I hope my email will reach to you and you will take an initiative for this.

26th July? You realise that invoices are issued retrospectively, so you would pay for July in August? Also, even if you terminate the contract early, you still have to pay for one additional month. You should check the invoice dates and amounts.

Did you send in the deregistration certificate and proof you are now living abroad, and did o2 confirm the termination?

Thank you for this information. However, I was not aware that the money is deducted retrospectively. 

Yes, I have officially terminated the contract, sent the router along with city de-registration certificate. I had initiated the termination step on 11th July. O2 confirmed the termination step via email and and  I received shipping label for a free return to O2 logistics center. I had done my city de-registration on 19th of July and sent the router on 26th July via DHL (along with city de-registration document).

Thanks to bs0 you have recieved helpful information already. Additionally, it would be very helpful to know what date the cancellation confirmation says. Is the confirmed date of contract cancellation July 26th?

Have you already been able to figure out why money has been deducted from your bank account, despite the contract being cancelled?

Was it the retroactive billing, like bs0 has suggested?
