Mobile Number Portability Cancellation

Hello,

I'd purchased Samsung S8 contract with O2 (24months) along with a new sim (+490176xxxxx890). I had requested for MNP(Mobile number portability) of my old number(+490176xxxxx288), Old number is also of O2. Now I don't want to do MNP. That means, I would like to use the new number itself. Could you please cancel my MNP application?

Regards,

Kiran R.

Thanks!

Hi kiranramachandra,

I've informed our MNP department that you would like to cancel your MNP order. The colleagues take care of it.

Best wishes,

Sanna

I would like to reconfirm again.

I like to retain my new number +490176xxxxx288. Kindly don't port my old number +490176xxxxx890.

I shall end the old number which was a prepaid number in O2. Do confirm the same from your end..

Best regards,

Kiran Ramachandra

Hi kiranramachandra,

I've just received feedback from our MNP department: It's already too late to cancel the MNP. Canceling the porting process was not possible. Your phone number xxx890 will be transferred to your new contract on November 23rd.

When the MNP is completed on November 23rd, we can try to get the number xxx288 back to your contract. But I can not promise it will work. I'm sorry.

Best wishes,

Sanna

Hello Sanna,

Ohh!!. OK. I can wait for another week or so. However could you please let your MNP dept know that I've to retain the new number xxx288 back to my contract. So after my phone number xxx890 will be transferred to my new contract on November 23rd I shall request again for MNP. Kindly do consider it, It was just yesterday I unknowingly did it. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.... Is there any charges involved here for the MNP process if the old number is tagged with the same operator, like the case of mine Old number was also o2 and new number is also o2....

Best Wishes,

Kiran Ramachandra

When the MNP is completed, it will be confirmed by SMS. If you request the MNP by yourself, it will not work, because strictly speaking the phone number xxx288 no longer exists. And a non-existent number can not be ported. Please contakt us here after receiving the SMS. Then we contact our MNP department to get your phone number xxx288 back. That's free for you.

Best wishes,

Sanna

Thank you very much.

I'll contact you once the number is ported.

Hello Sanna,

My Mobile Number portability(MNP) is completed. Could you please initiate the port back to xxx288 from xxx890?

Kindly do let me know if any other information is necessary or not.

Regards,

Kiran Ramachandra

@o2_Sanna ,

Please cancel my number portability request. I would like to be in O2 Network.

Kindly do the needful.

Thanks in advance.

Helllo there!

Have you requested the transfer, yet?
If not, there´s nothing else you need to do.
The option to transfer your number, the Opt-In, is everything we´ve changed.
If you don´t request the transfer to another provider at the new provider, nothing will happen.
If the transfer is already requested, you´d need to inform the receiver that you´ve changed your mind in order to cancel the transfer.

Viele Grüße,
Kurt
