mistake in changing contract ownership

Hello,

I recently relocated from my previous flat, and the new tenant expressed interest in taking over the DSL contract. Seeking assistance, I visited an O2 shop in Heidelberg where an employee facilitated the process. Despite my specific request to transfer only the DSL contract while ensuring my phone contract remained intact, the employee mistakenly transferred my SIM card contract instead. This error has led to several complications:

  1. The new tenant is currently unable to transfer back my SIM card contract to me due to ongoing processing delays, which have persisted for over two weeks.
  2. As the mistake was made by the O2 employee, the transfer fee paid by the new tenant should be refunded to her account. Furthermore, when she transfers the SIM card contract back to me, I should not be charged a transfer fee.
  3. The employee provided inaccurate guidance regarding contracts, resulting in the loss of discounts on my phone and SIM card. I specifically sought assurance that transferring the DSL contract would not affect my existing discounts, but unfortunately, this was not the case.

These issues have caused significant inconvenience, and I am uncertain how to resolve them effectively.

Hello @Müller1988, that's really annoying that not the DSL contract was transferred to the new tenant, but your mobile phone contract. 😮
Do you still have the possibility to go to the exact same o2 shop in Heidelberg and cancel everything directly there?

The employees at the o2 shop should be able to see that they made a mistake.

They should be able to fix the mistake without charging you any additional fees.

They should also be able to transfer the DSL contract to the new tenant, as long as you have all the necessary documents.
Best regards

Steffen
