I switched from a DSL to a Homespot plan in April. I tried to use my old Mein O2 account to check the invoice and my contract details. But when I am logged in, mein O2 kept asking me to verify with my current phone contact number. There is only one phone number choice available, which I guess is the phone number of the SIM card in my Homespot. But I cannot access to the verifying SMS sent to that number because the SIM card is in the Homespot machine. Can I retrieve my Mein O2 account without using my Homespot SIM phone number?

Hi @Catholium,

welcome to our English community. Thanks for your request.

In order to have access to “Mein o2”, please register your o2 my Data Spot unlimited-mobile phone number at “Mein o2”. Please use this link: Registration Mein o2 Then click “Ich bin Mobilfunk-Kunde” and follow the instructions.

I hope I could be of help to you.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @o2_Tobias

I am having the same problem mentioned here. I am using o2 WLAN, but I cannot register at the o2 app. When I select “Ich bin Mobilfunk-Kunde”, I am asked to provide the “Mobilfunknummer” which I do not have. I have a 19 digit Sim-Card number, but nothing else.

Your guidance will be much appeciated.

Thanks,

Dear @Nicknameali ,

welcome to our community. :snowman:

When you are using wlan, you either have a DSL Router or an o2 Homespot. By using DSL you need your landlinenumber to register, by using a Homespot with a SIM-card you need the mobile phonenumber of your SIM-card to register. On the SIM card holder from which you have broken out the SIM card for the Homespot, you will find the phone number printed on it in addition to the SIM card number.

Kind regards,

Andrea

Hi @o2_Andrea

Thanks for your response. I checked the simcard holder, which unfortunately does not have the phone number printed, but only has the SIM card number.

What would you advise? I cannot go to the shop, as it is closed due to restrictions. I unfortunately could not get support from call center as there was no English support.

Your guidance will be much appreciated.

Hi @o2_Tobias and @o2_Andrea ,

I am facing the same issue. The SIM card holder only has SIM Card Number. It does not have phone number printed on it. Kindly help me in this situation. The stores are closed due to Corona restrictions.

Hallo @Nicknameali and @Shubham, welcome at our community.

You received EMails with the phone number. Please have a look at your mails and also the Spamfilter.

Lind regards, Ines.

Hi  @o2_Ines

I’ve faced with the same issue which was described above.

I would appreciate if you will help and point out how to fix it.

Thanks!

BR,

Alex

Hi @Churik

welcome to our English Community.

Do I understand you correctly that you possess the homespot-contract “o2 My Home (LTE/5G)” and you do not know how to register at “Mein o2”?

If this is the case, please follow this link:

In the registration-procedure, you will get a text-message by SMS. You may wonder now, how you are able to read the SMS with your homespot-router. In this German video, it is explained how this is possible:

I hope you understand the video.

If you have any further questions, just feel free to contact us here in our English Community.

Loving greetings,
