Low mobile internet speed this week


Hi,

 

I am deeply concerned by the mobile internet speed near D- 84508, Burgkirchen an Der Alz, I’ve been coming to this city to do some business every month, and normally I've had more or less good mobile internet connection but this week it’s been disaster, I cannot get download speed of more than 2mbps, at best it is 4 or 5 mbps… 

I couldn't participate I any Zoom Webinar this week dues to this terrible internet connection, I've tried everything , restarted network settings, moved around to see if there is better coverage, I even went to your o2 page and entered city and house number to see if something is going on in my area. But everything is good, the signal is “sear gut”, its full on my cellphone as well… 

 

Is there anything you can tell me how can I make it better, because I am paying for a maximum speed, which of course, I don’t expect it to be, but 2mbps is just terrible, what can I do with it? Nothing….

I've just had a look too, I can't see any disturbance or overload from the postcode. The question would be, where exactly you are there, because there are always areas where there is only one supply outside, for example. Can you maybe tell me the street or next corner so I can look more closely? It's always a bit imprecise with the postcode.
Have you already made a report on the app so that the colleagues from the technical department can see if it's something new that's not yet known?
In principle, the reception with your mobile phone works well when you are somewhere else?
When was the last time you were there and the reception was good? It's possible that a base station that provided 3G and previously supplied you was dismantled, as 3G was all switched off by 31.12.21 at the latest.

I am located for two weeks every month at Industrieparkstr. 1, that’s just in front of Infraserv Chemiepark, and I spent most of the time in working vehicle, so there is almost nothing to block the signal to my phone. 

 

I already made a report on the app, and I got two messages back: first that says that they will transfer my report to the technical section, and the second one that ask me to rate technical support….

 

When I was here last month, I also stayed for two weeks and everything looked fine, the speed was not something special but it was alright, I need only 12mbps to do my job properly. 4 out of 10 times I can’t even test the mobile speed because the signal is so disrupted, the ping is over 5 thousand… 

That’s what’s bothers me, because everything was cool in the past 3 months, and I was here last year for 6 months and I didn’t had any major problems, but this week and the last one, it’s dismal….

thank you for your feedback.

Now I can take a closer look. There has been some maintenance or hardware replacement on the stations around you. I see that there were restrictions in the data area of the base station that particularly affects you. However, telephony continued to work. These restrictions are supposed to have been largely eliminated since yesterday.

Thank you for your answer, but I left this Thursday so cannot check it right now, I really hope that what you have wrote is true, I am back there in 2 weeks and hopefully, everything will work as usual..
