Hi, 

I am no longer in Germany since September, and in October I had accidentally enabled data roaming on my prepaid o2 number, which seems to have incurred some costs. I have not been able to receive sms since using my o2 number. I have a few accounts that require sms code to access with this number. The only option I have to top up using the Express-Aufladung mit PayPal und Kreditkarte option because, well, I’m not in Germany or the EU to do the other options. However, I have not been able to pay as the system kept producing an error when I tried paying. I wanted to do bank transfer, but I have been unable to find my Kundennummer. 

Last night (20 November 2023), my old neighbour in Germany contacted me and told me I received a Letzte Mahnung from Recht + Inkasso, that my deadline for payment will be on 19 November 2023. I did not receive any other warnings prior to this one (or maybe they did send, but I was not there to receive it). I have tried calling the number on the letter from an overseas number but it cannot be connected. I am unable to contact anyone regarding this, especially overseas, and I will not be returning to Germany for the next few months. My friends in Germany have tried to help me top up, but the same error happened. 

 

Does anyone know what I can do or how else I can contact them?

Such news can be frightening and I can well understand that it is not easy to get clarification from abroad. Maybe your friends can call the billing department?
