Issues transferring phone number

Hello everyone,

 

I have some issues porting my number to O2 (prepaid).

At the moment, I have my phone number with Congstar. I filled out the transfer form for prepaid: link 1 and link 2  . Now I am allowed to transfer it to any provider (I got the confirmation email from Congstar).

10 days have passed and I haven't got any reply from O2 yet, whether the process was successful or not. Is there any possibility to check if the number will be ported next week or to find out more about the current status?

The data I used to fill out the O2 form to have my phone number transferred from Congstar to O2 is the data stored in my Congstar profile.

Did any of you have any similar problems when transferring the phone number to 02?

LE: I have 15 EUR in prepaid congstar and 20 EUR in O2, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Hi @n0ba1230 ,

 

can you request the transfer via “Mein o2” (Website or App) again?

It sounds like the transfer order has not been received, so trying it again might just work.

If that’s not the case, please let us kow here.

Thanks for your quick answer.

I tried again last evening using another browser (Chrome) without any ad blockers. Let's see if it works.

Got few questions which I hope you can clarifiy:

  • Do I need to get any email notification about the change from O2 that it will be a success? How much time shall I wait?
  • Does my O2 Sim Card needs to be connected to the phone during the process or can I continue to use the one from Congstar with the number I wish to transfer?

great that you have another try. 

You find some instructions concerning the porting of your number to o2 under the following link: 

I hope the instructions are helpful for you. 

The porting should not take longer than approx. 10 days. You will also receive a confirmation by SMS on your old number. The SIM-card does not need to be in the phone for the process. As soon as you get a confirmation about the porting, you can just start to use your o2-card.
