Are incoming calls from outside the EU free? Say I’m in Germany and get a call from the US or India, will answering that call be free for me?

inside Germany and EU NO!

Outside EU you must pay roaming fee, also for incoming calls.

Thanks! So to clarify, all incoming calls in Germany and EU are free, irrespective of wherever in the world they come from?

Hello @Arushbb

there are different world zones, depending on which country the call comes from, different fees may apply. If the call comes from world zone 1, it is free of charges for you :)

Here you can see which countries are included.

You can also find helpful information on this under the following link: Roaming for contract customers | O₂ Community (o2online.de)

Thanks, but why are incoming calls not free in my local country? That is very strange. Irrespective of the country I get calls from, at least if they’re received in Germany, they should be free of charge! Anyways where can I find the charges by country?

Perhaps Cora's text was a little unfortunate. If you are in Germany or a country in world zone 1, incoming calls are free of charge, regardless of the country from which the calls originate.

Hello @Arushbb

I apologize for the misunderstanding, I expressed myself somewhat generally. Incoming calls in Germany and world zone 1 are of course free of charge :)

Thanks for clarifying Klaus_VoIP 😉

Best regards
Cora
