@Guilherme Melo Did you have a 24 months mobile contract? If yes see down the link.

Jesus christ i have to provide employer stuff!?

i work for myself, I’m at home in my families house… don’t have contract of housing here in Brasil…

haven’t deregistred from Freiberg because they did not have termin anytime possible and i needed to come home…

will see if i can deregister via mail… will take some time…

isnt there anything more easily doable!?

like i give my information and someone by phone just cancel it!?

might take some time to get the deregistration from Freiberg back to Brasil so that i can send you guys…

You wanna (sic) cancel your contract early, so you must expect that o2 will want to see various documents to prove that you are actually permanently leaving the country. That is hardly possible over the phone.

The deregistration from Germany is essential. Do you have nothing at all that would prove your residence in Brasil? If you work for yourself you must have, for example, a tax document or something similar with your address in Brasil on it.

Hello @Guilherme Melo,

just like @bs0 and @Joe Doe said we need the information mentioned in the FAQ. This is the regular expiry of an early contract termination due to a move abroad.

As soon as you have all the documents together and sent them to o2, you are welcome to contact us again. We will be happy to take a look at everything and let you know if everything is there or if something is still missing.

Kind regards,

I'm like WOWWWWWWW!

I asked for the documents for deregistering in Freiberg… Will send it to Freiberg this week… Might take a few weeks for them to send me the confirmation that I don't have a place in Germany anymore…

Here in Brasil I don't plan to stay long (next year moving to Australia) and I work for my family so no tax number or anything like that… I will get my deposit from my apartment in Freiberg this next week and after that I will close my Deutsche Bank account…

So a month maximum I will not have even a bank account in Germany anymore… Could I pay the remaining bill here in Brasil? Like an invoice or something? Currently it is debited in my account but when I close the account O2 won't be able to use SEPA anymore…

Hello @Guilherme Melo,

the only possibility I can see for you not to get into trouble because the individual bills cannot be debited is the following: you revoke the SEPA direct debit mandate. This means that o2 is no longer allowed to debit the money from your account on its own. The disadvantage: of course you have to transfer the money yourself and must not forget to do so.

What you have to do now:

  • Write an informal letter stating your wish to cancel the direct debit mandate. Include your customer number, your phone number, name, etc.
  • Send this letter to o2 by post or fax. I'm sorry, but there is no other option.
  • Postal address:
    • Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG
      Kundenbetreuung
      90345 Nürnberg

  • Fax number: 01805571766

Regarding your proof: do you have an ID that shows your current address? Or can your parents prove that you live with them?

Kind regards,

Jessica :sunflower:

As I said before in Brazil you don't need to register your address… You can live anywhere you want… Specially if you are at your hometown you don't need any confirmation that you live in said country or town… way less bureaucracy!

I will send this fax today to O2 with my data… where could I find my customer number?

@Guilherme Melo customer number → old o2 bill, bank statement (if you pay by direct bank debit)
