Assuming you mean the mobile contract and not actually the phone, did you fill in this form to request early termination and send the required documents?:

Yes we have filled that and sent it twice.

as well as proof of my employment in the united states and the deregistration forms from germany

How long ago?

A moderator can check the status of your request but it may take a few days before they reply to you here.

In March. We sent everything

OK. If you sent it in March, then the termination should have been effective in April and the final invoice should have been in May. Have you received another invoice since May?

Yes and I just got an email saying I will have another in June.

@Cfreezy77 When did the contract start and was the contract with a smartphone or SIM only?

The contract was with a smartphone and sim and it started in Oct.  21

You realise that you still have to pay for the phone though, right? It is only the mobile contract that will be terminated early.

I believe I payed off the phone already.

Also, im just trying to help 02.  I moved to the United States and dont even have a bank account they can charge.  I am not going back to germany.  Doesnt effect me in any way.

Even if you never come back to Germany or other European countries (if you did you would almost certainly have problems if you have an outstanding debt recorded against you), that’s at least morally a somewhat questionable attitude (in my opinion). You actually have no right to terminate the contract early, it is a gesture of good will.

In any case, if you already paid off the phone then as already mentioned the best thing to do is to wait for a moderator to check the status of your account.

I mean, i would like to resolve the issue obviuosly, thus why im here, but I have no way to see even how much i owe!

I would love to just pay off the phone straight up and have this problem solved but 02 does not respond to emails, chats, nothing. So i dont have a clue what i should do.  I came here to try to find an answer in any way.

Update, my phone is not from 02.  At this piont, i only have a contract with 02 for service, which i provided evidence that i was leaving, sent multiple proofs and deregistraion from germany, got no reply from 02 and still getting charged.

Hello @Cfreezy77 ,

you received another bill because you still have an outstanding payment. The contract itself was terminated at the end of April. For the time until deactivation you received a bill in May, since o2 always charges retroactively. As this bill wasn’t paid, another one was issued in early June. Once the currently outstanding amount is paid by you, no further bill will come your way.

Kind regards, Sven

Is there any way for me to see that amount? If I don’t know how much the account is overdue, then you could just charge me forever

Hello @Cfreezy77 ,

you should still have access to the mein o2 for the contract and there you can find the invoices.

Kind regards, Sven

Yes I know I can see that. But it does not tell me how much I still have left I need to pay. I pay the monthly amount but what is the total I have left until it ends

Hello @Cfreezy77 ,

the same amount as you’ll find on the last bill. 22,99€ is all that is still left open, once you have paid this, that’s it.

Kind regards, Sven
