Hello, I am writing to see how I can resolve this issue with my service. i have a prepaid sim card, and i seem to have spotty coverge all over Berlin. I have used this on two different phones, and I am always getting no connection, where I need to keep manually resetting/refreshing my connection to get it back. I would understand if this issue was isolated to maybe a few areas but it seems to be in most places I travel to throughout the city. Any assistance with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Do you know o2 customers who have the same problems? Berlin is relatively large, perhaps you can name a few places where this applies. I also travel a lot in Berlin and don't have these restrictions.

Hello @EAC ,

thank you, Bumer. That's right, it would be important to know in which locations you experienced these restrictions. Also, what have you enjoyed the most about Berlin so far? 📸🏙️

Since it also occurs, that the mobile network is a shared medium, maybe in some crowded places there are many users at the same time using it. Could this be an explanation for the places where you had issues using it? 🤔

Kind regards,
Leon

What is “crowded place” for O2 standards - 5-10 people at the same street? People are having 1gbps 5G internet in the middle of the mountain and you cannot provide normal service in the Capital?

Not sure which mountain you are referring to but in the middle of a big city the number of users in one place is obviously going to be considerably higher. If the capacity is not sufficient, then the bandwidth will be lower for each user. o2 like all providers is continually increasing network capacity but maybe at your location there is a particularly large discrepancy between the available capacity and the number of devices accessing the network.

This is from Sofia/Bulgaria this morning in normal Easy City area from this morning - https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/10521160867 downtown you reach more than 1gbps on 5G on all 3 mobile operators. Don’t use your “crowded area” excuses Sofia is 2 million city. Mountains check Rila or Pirin whatever town you pick, you will have above 100mbps at 5G and above 50mbps at LTE. In Frankfurt Nortend Ost I have 2mbps, even not 2 in the evening it is 0.2mbps… This is what O2 offers… And maintenance for 30 days without warning if you use your internet for work what do you do when you are offline for 30 days? This is just insane...

Sounds like you might want to think about switching to a different provider if you are not happy with o2.

All the same average 5G speed in Frankfurt for Telekom is 90mbps, for Vodafone is 70 and O2 is 45 or smth. Easy to check that in speedtest world map charts. The problem is the metropolitan area network your companies should start investing there including O2, in France for example that service would put you out of business in 3 weeks...

Who is "you"? You are communicating with other customers here.

Check the world index of mobile internet speed https://www.speedtest.net/global-index Germany is not even in top 50, this is absolutely insane when we talk about the largest EU economy. It is driving many businesses especially IT related impossible, if I was a manager either in Telekom, Vodafone or O2 I would be very ashamed and worried about such results...
