I usually get charged 29-33 euros and in this month O2 wants to charge me 94. They are telling me it’s because I’m using the data abroad but that can’t be it. I am abroad but I am in my native country using the chip and data I have from here, my German O2 chip is currently saved in, so I don’t understand why I’m being charged more than double if I’m not even using it.

You have to remove the o2 SIM from the smartphone, this is the only way to protect yourself from unwanted costs.

Hello @Andrea Vela,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

Can you see in your itemized bill (Einzelverbindungsnachweis) for when and where the mobile data used abroad has been charged by the provider which network abroad has been used?

Also a short use of your SIM in your Smartphone, depending on the settings of your device and its apps can cause roaming costs.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
