I GOT SCAMMED ?

Yesterday at an O2 shop in Würzburg, I was told

that I can get 60 GB for 22.50 Euros if I get a Partnerkarte by having another contract which I taught that it was going to be cancelled. I simply asked to move my prepaid O2 to a tariff. But after his explanation about the 60 GB for 22.50 Euros, I said okay let’s do that and today I found out that I basically have to pay 42.50?! I wanted to cancel the first contract but he said it is not possible! It’s been 1 month since I come to

Germany as a student and I can’t believe that a company like O2 got me scammed!!! I want to cancel my contracts as soon as possible because I was lied!

That doesn’t sound good. As there is no statutory right of cancellation with contracts concluded in a shop, if the shop is unwilling to cancel it then the only real option you have is to submit a complaint in writing to o2. The problem is that if you signed for both contracts it will be difficult to show that this was not what you wanted. When it comes to contracts it is very important to have someone with you who speaks German and who can read the document before you sign it.

I think it's cheeky and arrogant. One comes here, speaks neither German nor English well, goes to a German-speaking shop, doesn't understand what the other says, and then talks about fraud!

I would never in my life being so arrogant as to conclude contracts in a foreign country without taking a friend from that country with me as a connoisseur of the matter.

Why are you being so negative and rude? I speak English very well that I got accepted to an English master programme here. We talked in English and I said what he said in English. So, it’s my fault that trusting someone who works at O2 shop. Okay, thanks. BYE.

Thank you so much for your reply. I’ll try to do that. I wish there was a way to proof that he lied to me.

So I can  understand your annoyance. But the problem is here in the community I can´t cancael any contracts that you signed in a o2 shop. Thats not possible.

So plase notice the hint of @bs0 and write us a letter and explain your position.

Kind regards, Tatjana

Thank you for the reply. Should I write the letter in English or get help with the translation? Also, can you please send me the mail adresse?
