Thank you for the reply,
TBCMagic!
What if I put the o2 Free Unlimited SIM into my smartphone and will enable WiFi access point on it so my laptop can get to the internet? I know that sometimes the provider does not allow such service usage.
Tethering is allowed and can be used at no extra cost
I need clarity on this question please.
Does it mean my Homespot sim card can't work in my Huawei mobile WiFi router? Please clarify because the lady at the O2 customer service for purchase told me it does work. If she lied to me just to make me buy this product I need to know.
The o2 Free Unlimited tariffs (Basic, Smart, Max) can be used with mobile WIFI routers, The o2 my Data tariffs (S, M or L) can used with mobile WIFI routers too. Only the o2 my Data Spot tariffs (Homespot) cann`t used with mobile Wifi routers.
Or: Mobile wifi routers, which can also be operated with a rechargeable battery, cannot be used with a Homespot tariff.
Valid routers for the Homespot tariffs are: https://hilfe.o2online.de/o2-homespot-21/homespot-518391#post1989730
Hi @Lagbaja,
thanks for your request and welcome to our English community.
Was the explanation of @TBCMagic already helpful to you? As you see in the thread mentioned by @TBCMagic, the o2 my Data Spot-tariffs are only compatible with a few routers.
