Hi o2 Community,

 

When I make a contract of two years am unable to understand what happens after the contract can i keep the number and also will you help me in changing the to later change my contract maybe to a prepaid option where I can control my usage depending on my circumstances and also for this switch will there be any cost??

Wenn ich einen Vertrag über zwei Jahre abschließe, kann ich nicht verstehen, was nach dem Vertrag passiert, kann ich die Nummer behalten und helfen Sie mir auch bei der Änderung des Vertrages, um meinen Vertrag später möglicherweise auf eine Prepaid-Option zu ändern, bei der ich meine Nutzung abhängig von meinem Umständen und auch für diesen Schalter fallen irgendwelche Kosten an??

Thanks for your request. Nice that you are interested in an o2-contract. 

Please be aware that we offer contracts that can be cancelled each month and also contracts that have a minimum duration of 24 months. The cancellation-period for the 24-months-contracts is 3 months in advance. 

A change to a prepaid-tariff is only possible by ending your o2 postpaid-contract and beginning an o2 prepaid-tariff. 

But you have also the possibility to extend your o2 postpaid-contract for further 24 months. You also have the possibility to change your tariff.

It is not possible to move the phone number from an o2 postpaid contract to an o2 prepaid contract.

Hi @o2_Tobias, so after 24 months if I switch the type(s) of contract will there be a fee to be charged?

thanks for your reply. 

If you end your contract to the end of the 24-month-period, there will be no fee charged. Be aware of the fact that we charge you always after a month. This means when your contract ended, you will still receive another invoice for the month before. 

So, you can just switch from postpaid to prepaid. But you will receive a new number. The prepaid fees for the different packs and tariffs, I have already sent before.
