German address to activate SIM

Hello,
I recently moved to Germany and I need quickly a German number. I wanted to order a SIM with prepaid S rate, but the problem is that I have a foreign ID so I am not sure if I can activate the sim. I went to an O2 shop but they didn't speak english so I couldn't ask. Do you know if they can activate my SIM if I show them the registration to the city?

If you order it online, you can activate it via video ident (via video call using your phone camera) or by using post ident at the post office. You can check if your passport is accepted in either case by clicking on "akzeptiertes Ausweisdokument" here, Ortel is another brand of the same company, so the same passports are accepted.
