Fraud - charged for sim cards I didn't asked for


December 2022 I went to O2 shop to open a new account and I asked for one sim card. I asked for a tariff with 40GB for 35EUR monthly payment. I signed the contract and received one sim card.

The next day I received an email with my contract, which included three sim cards instead of one! Plus I received a bill of 120EUR for 3 time new customer fee!

I immediately went to the same shop and they assured me that I will not be charged with those 120EUR and that I will pay the amount that I've been told for the contract that I asked for.

After two weeks or so, guess what - 120EUR were charged from my bank account. I called the customer service, and I was told that I have to go again to the shop to solve the issue, because it's a partner shop.

So I went again, for the 3rd time. Again explaining the issue. The same person in the shop assured me that there was a mistake and those 120EUR will be credited at my O2 account (and not my bank account!). I asked him to cancel those two additional sim cards that they added to my contract and I never asked for them and never got them. Then he completely changed his attitude, started to tell me that I cannot prove that I didn't got those sim cards, although he remember that I came to the shop with this issue the say after I made the contract! He told me to come back again when his colleague that made the contract will be there so she can say that she didn't gave me the two other sim cards.

Few days later, I received a call from the shop, the person said he's a manager of the shop and he is sorry for the mistake of his colleagues. He asked me to come to the shop at the time when he is there, and assured me that I can take those sim cards for free and it won't cost me any additional monthly charges. He said I shouldn't cancel them, because then they have to charge me the new client fee.

So I came again to the shop, and of course this manager person weren't there. Another guy gave me the two sim cards. Then I asked again to make sure I won't get any additional chargers. He told me that I will pay for it 47 EUR, instead of 35EUR that I should have paid for the one sim card that I asked for! I told him I don't need it, I asked him to cancel it. He said he can't cancel it because only the manager can. He said the manager will call me. Guess what, no one ever called me again. 

I don't know what to do anymore, they really making a joke out of me, and this is a scam and a fraud, but I really don't know how to fight it. Every time they telling me a different story, and to go there again will not help.

I hope I will find an answer here...

first of all I would like to apologize for the way you were treated. Of course, you expect to get exactly what you ordered in a store. 

Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to intervene directly in your case. I will open a ticket for the department to look at your case again.

Could you please check the status and if someone is taking care of this case?

I am sorry to say that the o2 store refuses to cancel the contract. Unfortunately, there is nothing more I can do from here. Please contact the store again. 

I will try to forward your case to another department, but I can't say if there will be a different result.
