Hi, I have an issue with the English hotline. When it asks ‘for contract related questions press 1’ it immediately hangs up when I press one. When I press 2 for technical it goes through to the next menu, which then hangs up regardless of my choice.

 

The online live chat does not work on any device I have access to. It simply never loads. Not off to a good start here.

 

My questions are this:

  1. I selected during signup of my contract to port my old number. I’ve just recieved the contract details and have been given a new number (which I obviously don’t want). Is there a way to fix this without customer support?
  2. How do I get onto English support without being hung up on?

Register the new number for My o2,

Registration mobile number then order the number portability in the customer portal.


Thanks. I can confirm this is correct. Hotline worked today and they told me being assigned a temporary number is normal. The number porting will happen automatically after the contract is activated, and if not it's possible to do on my account. 

 

Still not sure what fixed the Hotline in the end as I was within the hours but doesn't matter now.

At first, you are issued a new. temporary number with your contract and after the activation your order for number porting will be processed when you have issued such an order at the time of ordering your contract.
