Contract Termination - POSTPAID


Hello ,

Please , I had a call to customer service to cancel my existing contract. it was not really helpful and 
i mailed them to cancel  the contract  but no response on that yet.
. Please let me know what to do to cancel the contract .

I’ve merged your posts into this topic.

Your account for this forum is not connected to a contract, which is why I can’t take a look at the status of your cancellation, just yet.

Could you tell us more about the cancellation? How old is the contract and are we talking about a cancellation or a withdrawal?

The cancellation would set in after the standard duration of 2 years (1 Month,,if it’s a flex contract). The withdrawal has to be sent within 14 days after receiving the SIM.

You can also check the status of the cancellation in your “Mein o2”-App, just click on “Details” in the upper right, next to your phone number.

just another question: are you leaving Germany for good and wish to cancel the contract to an earlier date or do you just want to pre-note a termination not missing the date?

it tells me that it is done the contract is terminated and in the portal of my O2 it displays contract resiler.
I thought the chip  was off, . but they send me the invoice for the month of october. while i haven't money pad to pay and am not in Allemagne .
in fact i have to terminate the contract as soon as possible because i am a refugee and i have already left allmagne for a month ago .
please i have to terminate the contract urgently and deactivate the chip  .
please help me to solve this problem

I have checked your data. 

Your contract will be cancelled to July 23 2023. As you missed the withdrawal period of 14 days notice after signing the contract the regular cancellation date was set.

I understand that you like to terminate your contract as you left Germany already. 

The only way to terminate your contract to an earlier date is described in the article that @o2_Manga mentioned. 

We need the following documents: 

  • a deregistration certificate of your present place of residence in Germany
  • a notification of your new foreign domicile (alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord)
  • your approval to deduct three basic charges in advance

If we receive these documents together with the cancellation-letter, we will certainly cancel your contract to an earlier date. 

You can send these documents by letter to the following address:
