Hi @Saad123 ,
you can cancel the mobile tariff at any time separately from your mobile phone. So it's no problem that you keep paying for your mobile.
Also a bank account from belgium is no problem. :)
The best way to do this is to use this form: Change of bank details (Unfortunately we have the form only in german)
And enter the customer number which you can find in your previous debits from the My Mobile contract.
Best, Alina
@o2_Alina Thank you for your message.
I have one question regarding the tariff cancellation. The cancellation form states that I have to pay a basic fee for 3 month. Please let me know how much does this amount to? Is there a way that I may void paying it.
hi @Saad123 ,
You can´t cancel the payment. This is due by law for cancellations due to default abroad.
Alternatively, you can cancel at the end of your contract period.
in your case the 3 basic fees amount to about 45€.
Best Alina
Hello @o2_Alina,
Thank you for you support.
I am filling in the form for the change of bank details and would like you help to complete it as my German language skills are miserable to say the least.
Please let me know what does Einzugsermächtigung and Änderung der Bankverbindung mean? Which should I check? I used Google translate to find out what they mean but I could not understand.
Secondly, as I understand the section “Kontoinhaber” is for the new bank account details and the “Dieses SEPA-Lastschriftmandat gilt für den Vertrag mit’” is for the details of the original contract holder. Please confirm if this is correct.
Lastly, as I am moving abroad permanently, can I put my foreign address in the “Dieses SEPA-Lastschriftmandat gilt für den Vertrag mit” section. Would this be fine? or should I put my last registered address in Germany?
Thank you :)
Hello @o2_Alina ,
Despite my German skills, I somehow managed to successfully complete the form and return it via fax to o2 yesterday. I received a message today confirming that the bank account details have been successfully updated. However, in My O2 under the Zahlungsdaten, My Handy bank details have not been updated. it stills shows the old details. Please check and confirm if both the handy and the tariff bank details have been updated.
Thank you for your support as always !
Regards,
Saad
Hi @Saad123,
I have good news for you: Both for your tariff as well as for your o2 my Handy-contract the bank-details have been updated.
I hope that everything is now correct for you.
Loving greetings,
Tobias
Hello @o2_Tobias @o2_Alina ,
I require some guidance on my tariff contract cancellation. The form states that I need to provide a
notification of your new, foreign domicile or a confirmation of your employer or landlord. I currently do not have either of this as I currently am unemployed and it is not customary for citizens to register themselves in my country.
Is it alright if I provide a copy of my flight ticket and my visa that is soon to expire along with the Abmeldebescheinigung in order to process the cancellation?
Regards,
Saad
