Cancel Prepaid Plan and Direct Debt

Hi, I moved from Germany, but am still living in the EU.

I would like to suspend the Direct Debit from my account for the Prepaid M plan, as I have 18€ of credit in Mein O2. (I tried to do in the app, but am not sure if it really worked).

If possible, I would like to use this 18€ credit to charge 15€ as for the last month (August), and then set the termination of the contract and the SIM card, for when it ends.

Many thanks in advance.

@vitorals first deselect automatically refill options in your „mein o2“ customer account.

Look picture Guthaben und Aufladen

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

I deactivated the Automatic Debit in “Automatische Aufladung” options.

To proceed with the next month charge with my credit and notice the termination for the end of this credit, what should I do ?

@vitoralsbecause you disable automatical refill of your card, the pack M will not renew second cycle than you have only 3 Euro left. You can cancel than the package over mein o2 to the 9 Cent tariff. After 6 months without refill your sim card will be automatical deactivated. If you want the sim card keep alive you can send 0.01 Euro over bank transfer to your mobile number. Send a SMS to 56656 with the text Bank

Alright, so

I still have the 18€ as credits, and will charge 15€ in the the prepaid M plan for the last month (August)

Can I use the resting 3€ in September, to change the plan, for example, to the 200mb prepaid plan (3€ and valid for only 1 month). Then leave the SIM card unused for 6 months until it expires ?

Does it cancel any contract also ?

@vitorals yes you can switch the Basis Plan for 1,99 Euro. Remember the 6 months start with your last active refill. If you don’t refill all will been cancel. You made good choice at the beginning to choose a prepaid tariff and not a postpaid tariff.

Thanks a lot for the help. Thats what I needed to know.

I will be doing this exact charges so, then I will leave the SIM unused so that it gets canceled.

Thanks again.

Dear @vitorals ,

first of all, welcome to our forum. Nice that you have found your way to us. :grinning:

I see you already got support from @Joe Doe . Thanks for that.

If you want to end your prepaid contract with us, you can also request a credit payout. Once the credit has been paid out by us, the phone number will be deactivated.
Or would you like to reactivate the SIM card at a later date?

Kind regards,

Andrea

Hi Andrea, thanks for the reply.

I am only going to use the SIM card until September, charging it with the remaining credits I have in Mein O2 app. After that I’ll be outside Europe, so I won’t use the SIM anymore.

Could I request the credit payout when I arrive in my country ?

Hi @vitorals

you can fill out the document for the credit payout at any time, also after your leave from Germany.

Please send the document to the following address:

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

O2 Prepaid-Kundenbetreuung

90345 Nürnberg

We only need a German bank account (or a European bank-account).

I hope that I could help you with this information.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @o2_Andrea and @o2_Tobias

I have already canceled last week my o2 auto debit each month of €15 but I got a text today it was going to be debited again in three days. I don’t understand what is going on. I have sent an email to the info address and spoken to an English speaker customer rep who COULD NOT help me because it was only for post-paid. I was transferred to a pre-paid representative who did not speak English and could not help me.

How do I cancel this auto-debit happening in three days? I have informed you in advance. I still have €14 credit in my account. I want to top it up myself each month. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello @bkfreelancer and welcome to our o2 community :-)

As far as I can see you were already in touch with our customer service after you wrote here in our community and it seems to me that everything is set up as you want it to be, is that correct? :-)

Regards,

Lars

@o2_Lars I did but my N26 got charged €15 still and that was not even credited into my O2 account at the very least. Can you please double check there are NO MORE auto debits in the future? Your representative said it was cancelled. When I spoke to someone who did speak English I was told it was canceled but I still got charged AND that was not even credited into my account. So where is that €15?

Dear @bkfreelancer ,

the 15 euros were credited on December 6th, before that something was charged on November 25th.

on December 8th your option was changed from One-time top-up of EUR 15.00 by SMS to One-time top-up (not by SMS).

You can change the top-up options yourself in the my o2 app if you want to have something else set.

Kind regards,

Andrea

@o2_Andrea thanks for the reply. Can you pls confirm and also clarify:

  1. Are there any future AUTO TOP UP or is it manually from now on? I canceled any auto top up online and via phone. Please confirm there are no more auto top ups.
  2. I paid €15 to manually top up my card so I can make phone calls. The remaining €14 is from that top up. So the OTHER €15 that was deducted from my account is for my monthly current tariff. Is that correct?

Thank you.

Dear @bkfreelancer ,

there was an One-off top-up by direct debit on December 22nd. Was this commissioned by you?

Kind regards,

Andrea
