Transfer of the internet contract timing

Hello,

The previous tenant transferred his contract to me, I’ve accepted the offer today through the o2 website. 

Then the internet connection in my apartment immediately went down. I need it for work, so I was wondering how long will it take, so I can use the internet in the apartment again?

Please, help, I can’t believe the switch of the name in the contract made online should shut down the internet connection.
