I have been waiting with the doormar and my phone at hand from 8 AM to 12 AM. I have followed the tracking page that was sent by email. Suddenly it changed from 2 people before you to task done, please evaluate the service. 

 

This is the second time that I have an appointment and my DSL is not connected (I create also this question for that case, where the email said that I wasn’t at home when the technician was in the building with me). I am very upset.

 

How can I cancel the contract with O2, while after a month they don’t connect my DSL?

Did you check the connection? 90% of connections are done without needing to visit the customer home.

Since I wrote the above message this happened:

 

  • I received a message from O2 saying that wasn’t possible to do the installation and I must call to a phone
  • I have called to that phone with the help of the doorman
  • On that phone, they said that the technician couldn’t enter the building. That's a lie, the door has been open all morning, I have been at the door from 8 to 12. Also the doorman. I have asked a day off at my job for this.
  • The only solution that they gave by phone was to arrange a new appointment, in 15 days. This will be the third time.

I don’t want a new appointment. Because after over a month I don’t have the Internet connection. The technician has lied twice and I have lost a day of my vacations waiting.  Asking for a new appointment (in 15 more days!) will be entered in a loop.

 

I want to cancel the contract.  How can I cancel the contract? 


You have to set a 14 day time via post letter or fax, under the threat of resignation of the contract.

Bye the way, that doesn’t help, because all technicians are send from Deutsche Telekom, o2 is a reseller like all the other supplier.

 

if you change supplier, you have to wait another 4 weeks, and than the exact same telekomtechniker, will wrote, that he hasn’t entered the building. 
 

So, best way, ask a German speaker to call and specify the handling of entering the building.

 

the techs, didn’t try it hard, the went to the next customer if the are confronted with an easy hickup 


But I was with a German speaker at the door. I can not call to the technician, because they don’t provide any number. I have been there twice. Once even the technician went to the basement. 

A new appointment, with me a german speaker at the door waiting don’t ensure at all having a different result. 

 

Even if the technician is not doing well, O2 neither because they put on me all the effort and the frustration. If I hire a company should be their responsibility to handle all situations with contractors.

 

To what address can I send that letter for canceling the contract?  Is there any formal procedure to follow?

I am sorry to hear that the second appointment did no take place. Unfortuantely there may always occur situations that prevent the technician from appearing to an apointment. If this happens I can only recommend to arrange a new appointment :-/

I can see that this company have the same poor service after a year… Very very poor. If you cannot provide you services there is a plenty of things this company can do, you can open a bakery, flower store or cafe, maybe you will succeed in some of these fields.

Let me share my story: 
February 27th I signed up for home Internet. I made an appointment for March 18th, but technicians didn’t show up. After that I made another appointment for March 22nd, but technicians didn’t show up again.   My question is: if the company can’t provide their services anymore, why the company even exists?
As a costumer I am frustrated, as an engineer I am shocked and disappointed how poor your costumer service is. 
How many times I have to make an appointment and wait untill sombody decides to come? Because, you know, I don’t have life, I have a plenty of time just for O2.

 

Advice for all good people, avoid this company.
