I sent the complete package again via post today with all the documents that you mentioned above in one file again, with the future address abroad filled out. I made sure that it wasn't missed out this time.

The package has a tracking number and I hope that you and the team get it safely within the next couple days. Would appreciate a heads up if you happen to see it.

Sorry for bothering you so but I really would like to save myself from paying a whole year to 2018 worth of fees that I won't be using from Canada at all. I hope you understand why I've been on this case quite actively. I wrote the cover letter in German with the hopes that the the customer service team is up to speed with the situation and minimizing our back and forth.

Again, I really appreciate your support this far and hope we can push this early cancellation request this through.

I have sent the following documents for cancellation of my contract by mail to address "Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, Kundenbetreuung, 90345 Nürnberg". Can you please confirm the receiving the documents and if that is sufficient for cancellation.

1. De-registration of my apartment from Germany

2. Flight ticket to confirm that I am leaving Germany

3. My company offer letter stating my new assignment starts on Jan 1st 2017

4. Filled cancellation form to confirm that I will pay 3 months basic fees and also with future abroad address.

Why it takes so long with the Sonderkündigung, I do not know. Can't answer that question. But we will always find a solution. ☺️

you're welcome. I know how hard it is when you're speaking another language and you need help somehow. And yes, we have (for my share) not enough English speaking people at the hotline and so on.

I do only work in this community, so I am not the department that gets the letters and works on them. I can only check what I can see in your data. So, just contact me next week or so, and I'll check it again! ☺️

you sent it via mail? You mean an e-mail? o2 doesn't support e-mails.

So, you need to send it via post or fax, with the right form for an extraordinary dismissal because of moving abroad. Did you use that?

In your data there is nothing available now. When did you send the documents (if it was via post or fax)?

I have sent the documents via Deutsche post on 30.11.2016. (Documents sent: 1. Cancellation Form - got it in one of the discussion here, 2. De-registration in Germany, 3. Company offer letter at new location & 4. Departing flight ticket).

I will contact you next week to check if you received the documents and if there any updates.

As requested by you earlier, doing follow-up this week. When you get a chance, can you please check if the documents I sent via post are received at your end and any update on cancellation progress for my O2 connection. I checked the document status in deutche post and saw that it was delivered at "Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, Kundenbetreuung, 90345 Nürnberg" on 1st Dec 2016.

Today I got a mail from O2 team asking for abmeldebestätigung from einwohnermeldeamt for kündigung. I think they have seen my old mails sent u n English.I think this was the request  during initial days of my sonderkündigung which I sent in both English n German too n this b e response to that mail.pls check comments below n solve the kündigung soon.

Sorry, i pressed the post button, before i complete my sentence below. As mentioned i have got the below eMail from o2 Kundenbetreuung colleague today, it says as reply to my request in 30.September but i sent these Sonderkuendigung papers in October which you also confirmed, so the mail she is taking about must be the previous request for cancellation i sent in German that time.

I kindly request you to check and confirm the current status of my sonderkündigung as i cant send the abmeldebestätigung now, this will be provided only 1 week before i leave the country. 

Please check and resolve the issue on my kündigung.

And sorry for the long mails, these late replies like below are confusing.

Today,  i got further mails from 2-ret-aktion2 , Kundenbetreuung team (M. Woitowitz) today saying that i have to submit the Abmeldebestaetigung from Burgerbuero and it is mandatory to cancel the contract, even when i explained that it will be given only 1 week before my return, i was told that they cannot do the Sonderkuendigung without that.

I have kept you also in CC for the emails. 

I would request you to look at this matter and help me out soon, as i wanted to cancel the contract by end of April 2017 itself and cannot wait till i complete the abmeldung process, as it may lead to delay in further process and i may leave the country after that and my bank account will also be closed here.

So i do not want to keep anything pending here. Please look into the matter and help me out soon.

There has been almost two months and I still was not contacted by your colleagues in private message. Besides November, I already have received invoices for December and January 2017 (my contract is terminated as at 31 October 2016). I left Germany on December 6th. I have completed the Abmeldung process and I have obtained the Abmeldebestätigung. I also have the document from my new employer abroad.

I need to terminate my contract with O2 as soon as possible.

Can I email you the documents? Please. I tried making a FAX to you but the fax is not working. The fax number keeps going busy at +49 1805 571 766

I just checked the e-mails and your contact to the Sonderkündigung- department.

For our understanding it was okay, and we thought it would be enough to send a proof of your landlord that you leave the country.

But when the Sonderkündigung-department says that they need that deregistration form of your residence in Germany, and they will not accept any other confirmation, than we can not do anything else.

As soon as you have that deregistration paper before you leave, send it via Fax, contact us here, and we will immediately contact the department again that they care for it.

Just keep calm. Everything's okay. And we always get everything to work out. ☺️

No need to panic! ☺️

Wie stell ich das aus? Will aber das Generelle Benachrichtigen beibehalten und nur diesen Beitrag hier blockieren.....

hast du zufällig den englischen Bereich irgendwo auf folgen gesetzt oder so?

Du kannst sonst einfach im Thread selber oben rechts eben diesem nicht mehr folgen, oder aber in Deinem Profil (in den Einstellungen) einfach die E-Mail Benachrichtigungen deaktivieren.

Dear Jessica, Thank you for your response. Now I see the only possibility of providing the proof of Abmeldebestätigung from Germany to cancel my contract I need to wait till last weeks of my stay as I have an appointment that time itself. However I do not have the possibility to send it through fax. Is there any possibility to send it through mail to the same mail n confirm you here.I can send by post too but that may take time to reach them? 

I can try for fax too but can't confirm. Please provide their fax number to me as well.

I know I sound worried as I didn't want to take any last minute issue.Anyway thanks for your support and wishes.
