Thank you for ur response. Just wanted check the procedure from Sonderkündigung Team. Do they send me any confirmation of contract closure and further procedures through Post?

Thank you for getting back to me. I sent a mail package containing the filled out form, copy of our proof moving out of the apartment, and a copy of my recommendation letter from my future employer from a year ago for my PR in Canada. I hope these set of documents will satisfy the needs and confirm the termination at the date specified in the cancellation form (February 10th).

As stated in the form, I will be ready to pay the all-inclusive 3-month basic fee.

I have the tracking number if you want, otherwise I hope that the mail package should land in your office within the next couple days. I look forward to you confirmation and next steps to finishing this request.

I really need your help Jessica.

I left Germany 5 weeks ago and I made the cancelation 6 weeks ago but they still charging me and haven't receive any notification of any kind.  I need to cancel my bank account really soon so please help me.

Thank you for your response. I have just sent across all my documents and O2 cancellation letter in the form of images to O2 support as you had mentioned. I have also attached a proof of document for my address here from the landlord in my home city. This is really the maximum I can provide as proof of documents for this cancellation. I hope this is sufficient for O2 to believe I am no longer in Germany.

Kindly let me know if you have received the documents and my data is now available in the system for the processing to begin.

I just wanted to follow up with the mail I sent. I hope it arrived just fine at your office. I received an e-mail today that O2 confirms my cancellation but I think it's just the usual one recognizing that it will be cancelled by the end of the contract in 2018.

But as we discussed and based on the package I sent, I want to cut ties by 10th February 2017 and will be ready to pay the 3 months fee on top to avoid paying the until 2018. Would appreciate your support and follow up.

I have sent out all the requested documents for terminating my contracts last Tuesday. Could you please confirm that the documents have been received and my contract will be terminated?

Also I have O2 Blue all in one connection and have free roaming in all European countries. I made couple of calls in the UK ( from my current location ) to a 0800 toll free number and I have been charged around 18€ for this. Could you please look into this and check why I have been charged ?

they should send you a confirmation and everything via post to your address.

But we just keep it going as we said it- when you hear nothing within the next months just tell me. ☺️

the document is not correct.

The part where you have to mention your address in Germany and your new address is not filled out completely. The field of your new address is left open. So, that is the one thing that the company will not accept.

Further on the proof of the cancellation of your apartment is okay, but the proof of your work is nothing up to date. And it is not a proof that you will be working again there next year. At least it has to be a confirmation of your employer that you're going to start working again at that or that date. Like this it won't be accepted.

Please keep in mind to hand in the needed documents. As well as the confirmation that the company is allowed to charge 3 monthly basic fees as a replacement.

there is no cancellation yet that I could check in your account. To which address did you send all of it?

The number you've called is another number, a special number that was not for free. So, everything is okay with that invoice!

Just as a follow up. I just shot out an email from my next employer in Canada and hoping they'll send me a letter soon. But maybe in the interest of speeding things up, would a letter from my family stating that I will be moving in with them be enough? A week has passed, and I'm worried that getting my cancellation confirmed will delay as weeks pass by.

I am surprised that this has not reached by now. Could you please let me know what can I do at the moment since I was of the opinion that the documents would have been received ☹️

Also please see below the link to UK government website which confirms that the calls made from mobile to 0800 numbers are free of charge

Please let me know your response for my post earlier regarding the status of my cancellation. I had sent all the necessary documents via message to O2 support as you had mentioned. If everything is fine now and my cancellation process has started.

please check the link that you've posted. It is about a UK- decision. But you have a German sim card, and we're a German provider. And everything depends on wether the provider says it is for free or not.

For your German sim card you have called an external number, and it is not for free for o2 as the provider.

You can also read that when you click on the link that you sent.

Quotation:

The cost of calling a phone number depends on the digits it starts with, your phone provider and whether you use a landline or mobile.

Everything is correct as it is like this.

Your cancellation still is not available in your data.

Did you use a registered letter or a normal letter?

You could also send it by fax if you want to!

I have sent another letter via registered post today with all the documents ( contract cancellation, de registrations from Germany, Confirmation from my employer that I have left Germany in August, new address confirmation in the UK). I hope it will be actioned by the team as soon as they receive these documents

I tried writing here yesterday but I think the forum was going through a web design change. Looks like I can write to you here again. Please allow me to re-paste what I wrote before on a new thread. Subject - I faxed the corrected and additional cancellation documents as my last mail package was not enough. Please refer to my message below and look forward to your reply:

"I just re-sent the early cancellation request for my phone contract via FAX(!), as a result of insufficient documents from my last posted mail. In the fax line-up, you should have received:

 

a) the complete filled out form as requested (stating to cancel the plan from beginning February 2017),

b) proof of leaving the apartment in Berlin in January,

c) official letter from my future employer proving that I will work there in-person from February,

d) copies of our flight tickets to Vancouver, Canada in February from Vienna with my wife. 

 

I sent the fax from the post office in Vienna, Austria - as my parents live here and this will be the city for where we depart when we leave Europe.

 

I believe this package should satisfy the needs of cancelling my phone contract early and I have noted that I will be paying a 3-month free as a result.

 

I created a new thread because I couldn't find the reply function anymore in the original thread due to the redesign of the web page(?). I would very much appreciate your continued support here and process the final stages of cancelling my plan as I leave Germany.

First of all Congratulations and Good luck to you and your team for the new look on this Community!

I has almost been more than couple of weeks / month, since my documents are sent to Sonderkuendigung team, you have even mentioned that they will be informing me through post, but till date i have not got any Post from them. I know i still have some more months to go but i thought it would be better if i get the information at the earliest, than facing issues during my last months.

Could you please check and confirm the status of my Sonderkuendigung and possibly when will i be getting information from them.

the confirmation of your new employer seems to be okay, also the confirmation about your move-out. But please keep in mind that as soon as you can you also hand in the deregistration letter of your city. Don't forget that.

And as well the following form is still not completed in your data:

Please have a look at the form, that was faxed, again. I made sure that I filled out everything and I have the original copy here to prove it. The future address abroad should be there. :S

As you probably know, I can't get the de-registration until the week before we leave on the end of January. And it feels like such a huge risk to not be confirmed to be cancelled on time for February. I can still send the proof of de-registration in but I hope that it doesn't extend the process of being cancelled on time.

Hope you can find the fax and confirm that you received it.

the company usually only cancels the contract when all the required forms are send in.

When there are any problems I told you often before that we will see that we care for it.

About the information that you sent:

First one was

- the cancellation form without the new address

- the confirmation of your cancellation of your rental agreement

- and that old letter of your company

The second one includes:

- the cancellation of your cancellation of your rental agreement

- confirmation of employment

- flight tickets

That's it.

Thanks for your quick response as always:-) 

As the Sonderkuendigung team is taking so much time (more than a month) in confirming the cancellation, it just adds curiosity of any more data or Info missing from my side.

However as you have already confirmed last time that all my documents are fine, i am hoping to get quick response on cancellation from them in the coming days.

The problem is that we could not reach any Kundenservice from O2 or Sonderkuendigung team directly to check the status.

The only person who is supporting and responding all is only you.Thanks for your continuous support:-)
