Hello,
this September I will be permanently moving out from Germany and would please need to have my mobile contract (Blue All-in L) terminated. I will want to keep the line active and working until October 1st.
Could you please explain on how to proceed, and send me over email any forms I may need to complete and send back? I will of course be able to attach my Abmeldung as a proof.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Best,
Francesco

Hello @sourabhgautham ,
as I said you can find the needed document attached here:
https://
@IcKz13 ,
here you have the numbers:
0176 88855222
089 787979400
But you can also tell your concern here and I will try to help you.
@Giga87 ,
I do not work with DSL. I only work "with" the mobile world of o2.
So I can't say anything about your problem.
Do you have your account number and everything and your password and number? If yes please tell me and I could unlock your for the private messages and see if I can transfer it to an employer who works on DSL.
@madhusudhan2308 ,
just an information- this is not a chat. It's a forum, and answers can take several days. I do not work everyday.
I just checked everything and the cancellation is not confirmed yet, because there are not all the needed documents. I can not do anything here, because first of all we need the documents. That is necessary.
You find it here: https://
When you've sent all the documents to the company you can contact me again. But the deregistration, and the needed new registration of your new place of residence or a confirmation of your new employer is necessary. Without it no one can confirm your extraordinary dismissal because of moving abroad.
Kind regards,
Jessica

Hi @o2_Jessica , Thank you for the quick response.
My account number is DE14410339, I have also all the other numbers but I prefer to share them in a private message. It would be very nice of you if you could transfer my message to an employee who is dealing with DSL and who could help me solve my problem.
Thank you again!

Dear Jessica, Thank you for your response and please do not misunderstand with my query. As i did not get any response from O2 on the required documents for my post, I wanted an update. I can understand that you need time and more people to answer.
Anyway I will complete the required form and also attach the files in the coming days and send it again and keep you informed.
Thank you again

Dear @o2_Jessica @o2_Support
Is there a similar form for cancellation of the DSL account when you move abroad?
I am leaving Germany but I still have one more year left of contract. As far as I understood the reason to move abroad is enough to opt out of the DSL contract too and pay only 3 months. Am I right?
Would my work contract in the new contract be enough? Cause I do not have a new address yet...
I would appreciate if you could please confirm me also the address where to send it.

Hello @ruipedroap ,
the address for the DSL cancellations is this one:
Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG
Postfach 60 09 40
22209 Hamburg
For DSL there is no special form. You just have to write your cancellation, with the reason why (moving abroad), your account number and everything. And also you have to hand in your deregistration of the city, as well as the registration of your new place of residence or your new work contract of your new employer. As well as the letter of agreement for the company that you allow them to charge 3 monthly basic fees as a replacement.
Please also keep in mind that you have to send back your router when you leave the country.
And it would be best if you don't close your bank account at the day you leave. Leave it open longer, so that the company can charge everything.
When customers close their bank accounts too early, and o2 tries to charge something or so again, and it doesn't work, many people get demand notes and more costs. It all just leads to more problems.
Hope I could help you with this.
Kind regards,
Jessica

Hello Jessica,
Can you also assist me? I am also moving back to my home country and would like to cancel my DSL & Festnetz.
Could you send me the correct forms and addresses for me to send the documents to?
I have the added problem that I cannot access my account online to confirm my customer number and the password reset does not work.
Can you provide me with the email and/or phone number for the customer service that can grant me access to my DSL&Festnetz online portal?
I saw a link for my mobile phones where I can cancel online and then confirm by calling. Can you confirm that I do not need to send a written cancellation notice for the mobile phone contracts?
Thank you!
Neil

Dear All,
I am not sure who will read this message, but I hope some of the Team Leaders do! My wife and I had a contract for mobile from o2 in Germany, but we recently moved to Switzerland and had to cancel it for obvious reasons. I struggled for more than three months sending letters to o2 (in German) and I only received one response saying that there were missing documents. I sent the documents, but after a month I got no answer (and we were already living in Switzerland), so I have entered the o2 community in English and I found this woman called @o2_Jessica. She was the most helpful person I've ever had contact at o2, was the only person who really helped, in one week she solved our issue, even thought we have done everything correct. Something that is more impressive is that she just not helped me, but answers hundreds of emails every week, and in every email she is always very helpful. o2, although it is clear you make your costumers life a hell to cancel a contract (not surprising she has so much work), you actually have excellent people working with you, and if I was a Team Leader, I would like to have o2_Jessica working with me to have a team with people like her. That would certainly benefit o2, and change the image that most of people cancelling a contract have from this company
all the best for you o2_Jessica

Hi Jessica,
Maybe you can help me.
I've had a contract with O2 Germany for years. I actually left Germany 4 or 5 years ago and couldn't cancel my contract at the time, I'm still being charged. I've already sent the letter to cancel it (without the Abmeldung, cause to be honest, I don't know where it is after all these years), but I have bills and a contract in a different country (Ireland).
I don't know my O2 password and I can't recover cause my SIM card is not working anymore. Can you please help me? I will be moving to Australia in the following months and I want to fix this ASAP`.
Thanks!

Dear Jessica,
I have a contract with O2 Blue All in L. I left Germany on June 30th, never to come back again. Unfortunately, my Abmeldungformula is lost. I was advised by the help desk in Duesseldorf to fax the cancellation form, and the abmeldung letter. Unfortunately, I couldn"t do any of that since the last few months have been extremely tough for me. I relocated to the UAE and have started a new job very recently. I have been paying the bills since July up until October and this month too, the amount will be taken. Kindly let me know what|s to be done. I was told it will take 3 months for the cancellation. But since I couldn|t do the proper route, please advice how I can get to cancel the account. I have lost so much money already and there is nothing left in the account. I won|t be coming to Deutschland anymore. Also, I have lost the SIM during the relocation. So, i am really paying for nothing at all.
Looking forward to hear from you at the earliest possible.
regards,
Anand

Dear @o2_Jessica,
I have a very similar situation. I hope you have time to answer.
I will be leaving Germany from early February 2017 and would like to keep my contract running by the time I leave. I did the online "kündigung vormerkung" and did the steps to call but I wanted to explain that I don't want to cancel it now but rather give a heads up 3 months before as per the usual german system.
I received a text this morning confirming that O2 got the notice but I am worried they will cancel earlier than I wanted. Could you please help me out?
Would very much appreciate it.
P.S. I would need to prepare the same thing for my wife who will be leaving with me at the same time.

Hello @npg108 ,
as you may have read I only work on mobile contract issues.
DSL is not my field.
But for your concern about the cancellation I have already writtensomething some answers before. Klick here: https://
It's also the right one for you according to cancelling the DSL contract.
And here is the number you can call:
0800 1441111
You've also written this:
So, if you want to cancel earlier because of moving abroad you need to send in the document which you find attached here: https:// with all the documents asked for.
Hi@Nerea ,
as I see your cancellation because of moving abroad was succesfully confirmed and your number with the 37 at the end got deactivated yesterday (at the 1st of November).
Hi@AnandJ ,
well, when you have moved abroad, you also have to fill out the needed forms and send in the needed documents.
There is no priority notice about a cancellation or anything in your data. So I can't do anything here.
The only thing that you can do is send the form and documents to the company (also you can find the needed form here: https:// ).
You can send it via post (address is mentioned in the letter) or via fax: 01805 – 571 766
And afterwards we'll see what we can do. By now I can't do anything.
Hi@asinoy ,
what you did is- you cancelled your contract to the normal runtime end. That is what this department does. They do not care for extraordinary dismissals.
So, your deactivation is set for the 21.06.2018, because you extended your contract some time ago for 24 months more. What you have to do is also fill out the cancellation form because of moving abroad (find it here as well: https:// ). That is what you have to do for your own and the contract of your wife. Send it to the company and they will confirm it. Or if not you can write me here again (if you haven't heard something again of the company before you leave, so not next week, but before you leave).
If you have any other questions do not hesitate to contact me here.
Hi@madhusudhan2308 ,
I will check everything for you now and answer you afterwards.
Kind regards,
Jessica

So, hello again @madhusudhan2308 ,
I just checked your documents and everything is perfectly fine.
All the documents are now open and in process, so that hopefully the "Sonderkündigung" department will conclude everything. I will help you, when there are any problems, like I did for everyone else here. But now we should wait a little (we still have time until you leave) so that the department can do their work.
If you won't here anything of them the next weeks/ months just contact me again and I will help here.
Is that okay for you?
But as I said- with your documents is everything fine.
Have a nice evening,
Jessica

Thanks for the reply @o2_Jessica ,
I really appreciate the clarification. Please confirm if the document, "English. Cancellation.pdf", is the document you were referring to.
Another thing is that we usually can't get the abmeldebestätigung from the bürgeramt until a week or two before we officially move, right? What we do have is the official letter from leaving our apartment, the letter of my work resignation, a contract of my wife stating that she has work till end of January.
And we are planning to move into my family's place back in Canada, which means that I could prepare a letter signed by them that they will confirm our arrival. Is that enough too? In addition, I could ask my future employer to make a note confirming my arrival.
Also please confirm that I don't have to pay of the remaining time after upcoming February until 2018 when I follow these instructions, as this was the point of why I wanted to get in touch early.
Thank you again for your support. Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,

Dear Jessica, Thank you so much for your reply and confirmation of the documents. Atleast this gives me satisfaction that the docs are perfectly fine.and i hope I get the update from Sonderkündigung Team in the coming weeks or so.
Do they confirm me same through post? If so, that will help me have a written confirmation from O2 as well for any future reference. In case no response from them for next weeks/month I will contact u.
Anyway I really appreciate your continous support!
With Regards,
Madhusudhan

Hi @o2Jessica, @o2_Support , Other current, Ex-o2 users,
Can I please request your help for the same reason like others here, that I will be leaving Germany in December and I have o2 contract until next year May 2016.
To terminate the O2 contract, I see the two documents to be submitted -
- a deregistration certificate of your present place of residence
- a notification of your new, foreign domicile alternatively a confirmation of your employer or landlord
At Rathaus, I have being told like, I can de-register only one week before I leave the residence or leave the country. Do you have any options here or is it possible that I can de-register now for leaving in December end and send O2 this information?
Please help, any pointers here.
Thanks & Kind Regards,
Madhan

Good evening,Jessica,
I don't know who to contact in order to have my issue solved. On 24/05/2016 I sent a request for contract cancellation as we moved out of Germany on 30/09/2016 which I put as an end date of my DSL contract.
I received a confirmation from O2 that the contract will end on 30/09/2016 as was requested. We sent all the HW machines back and now we got an invoice that I need to pay the regular fee for Oct 2016.
My contract details are:
Product details: O2 DSL All-in L
Kundennummer:DE14982470
O2 already took this money from my account and I have big problems to reach anyone on the Helpdesk via phone. Could you please advise what to do and how to solve my issue as I'm not in Germany for longer than one month?
Thank you!
Regards,
Michal

Hello Jessica,
I moved out of Germany on Oct 30 and sent the letter to O2 on Oct 29 as per the procedure but I may have done a mistake and wanted to clarify the same with you.
The documents required for proof are as follows :
1. Abmeldung from KVR RSent it]
2. A confirmation from the employer or landlord o Should the employer or landlord be from my home country now
and not Germany. In a hurry, I sent a confirmation from my employer in Germany that my contract is terminated
and also from my landlord that I am leaving Germany.]
Please let me know if what I did is still OK or Should I redo the process with the right document from my employer or landlord in the home country and then post them to O2 along with the same copy via mail to o2 support.
Thanks,
Nishanth

Thanks,
Nishanth

Please confirm if the document, "English. Cancellation.pdf", is the document you were referring to.Confirmed!
And also:
What we do have is the official letter from leaving our apartment, the letter of my work resignation, a contract of my wife stating that she has work till end of January. That would be perfect if you could prepare all these. I know it's a mad situation with these deregistration confirmations in Germany. So, send in everything else, and tell me when you did, and I'll check everything.
In addition, I could ask my future employer to make a note confirming my arrival.I would say just ask them if they could give you a written confirmation for it. It's just for you to be on the safe side.
