Hello,
I ordered a DSL connection in February, this connection failed due to wires being interrupted somewhere in the wall (technician said so)
In early March, I then requested a technology change from DSL to Cable. I returned the first router (Fritzbox 7590) and got a new one (Fritzbox 6660).
My activation date (for the new contract) is 04.04.2024.
As per instructions, as soon as I got the new router (6660) I plugged it in and followed the wizard via App o2 My service.
It connected to the internet successfully (navigated for at least 2-3 hours) - super happy!
Then, I decided to enter the router area to change name and password, but I don't speak German and therefore I changed the language to English.
Router rebooted, but a strange behavior happens:
- LEDs on the router are light up - Power and WLAN, all seems OK!
- Router area says there's internet connection (115mb download) - all seems OK!
- No device can connect to the internet (it requires 'sign in' - if I click on it, I land on the Telefonica /o2 static page stating that my connection will be activated on the agreed date (04.04.2024)
So it seems that the router has internet but that it's not able to propagate internet to the devices.
Ran diagnosis and it suggested to contact my ISP.
Event log shows a strange continuous error about not being able to sync Time server correctly.
I rebooted, reset to factory settings VIA O2 MY SERVICE, but it simply does not change.
How is it possible that connection worked for 2 hours and now I have to wait the activation date? I don't get it
