Hi,

I wanted to ask if I could use the SIM card in a phone instead of a router at home.

It says on the contract that I can use internet as long as I don't use it in other addresses. So I can use any device as long as I don't leave my house with it, Is that right?

Another question is what is the meaning of this part of the email:

Hinweis: o2 kann den Anschluss nach Maßgabe der Ziffer 4.2 der AGB für o2 my Home Produkte unterbrechungsfrei und ohne Änderung der vertraglichen Konditionen auf eine andere verfügbare Übertragungstechnologie umstellen, bei initialer Realisierung des T arifs über LTE/5G jedoch nur, wenn das verbrauchte Datenvolumen in 3 Abrechnungsmonaten während der Vertragslaufzeit jeweils 300 GB überstiegen hat.

Does it mean that I can only use 300gb of data with the SIM card and then right after O2 can lower and block my download/upload speed?

Sincerely,

A customer

Hello @Help123456712 nice to read you here in our community, feel welcome 💙

Thanks for your requests. The sercive itself is limited at your Home Spot adress. The hardware which is used is up to you.
Further the fair use is explained. It says if you are using more then 300 GB each month for the perion of three month o2 has the right to limit the speed by changing the technology from LTE/5G to 2G

I hope i was able to help you. If you have any further requests, you´re welcome. 😍

kindly regards
Michael

Hi!

Thank you for your answer,

If O2 does in fact limit my speed do I have the right to cancel the contract without paying any penalty for breaking the contract before the 24 months expire?

Kind regards

Hello @Help123456712 if you mean the fair use policy, then no. This is part of the contract and no reason to cancel the contract.

Hi,

I tried to search the point 4.2 of the AGB but it does not mention in any part about the limit of 300Gb monthly.

It only mentions the fair use of internet and to not do any illegal stuff.

So I'm actually really confused, I did not see anything about the 300gb except when I activated the SIM card which then O2 sent me an automated e-mail.

It said that O2 is allowed to limit my connection if I use more than 300gb monthly for the first three months.

So now I'm stuck with a limited connection of 300gb per month for 2 years?

Or I guess I can have unlimited connection with 2g for like a 20kb/s speed?

Did I misunderstand anything?

Hello @Help123456712 thanks for your last post. Sorry but right now i am a liitle bit confused.
What exactly is your question. Is it regarding the 300 GB Limit?

If the fair use mechanic is active, you will have 300 GB with full speed and afterwards the speed can up to 2 mbit.

Hi,

This part is confusing “It says if you are using more then 300 GB each month for the perion of three month o2 has the right to limit the speed by changing the technology from LTE/5G to 2G”

Does it mean that I have full speed but for only the first 300gb EVERY month (so even after the first three months) for the duration of the contract?

Or is it for only the first three months?

Or if I go over the 300gb for the first three months do I get ONLY 2g for ALL the duration of my contract and no 5g at all even at the first 300GB?

@Help123456712 You have 300 GB with full speed. If you are using more volume within three month in a row, the speed will be limited if you reached 300 GB.

Michael
