Hi,

For some reason, O2 sent me an email to "confirm" my sepa bank account, although I haven't changed anything at all. I have tried to open the link they sent to my email and it's useless, no need to say that the mobile app is really useless as well, it won't let me login even with my correct user credentials.

Anyway, they want me to confirm something that I have already confirmed more than 1 year ago, and now? Why?

Their link doesn't do anything, so I can't do anything.

Edit o2_Bianca: Moved from My Home Rechnung to English o2 Community Broadband&Landline

Could it be that the email wasn't from o2 but a phishing mail? In that case you should be glad the link doesn't do anything.

No, the domain of the email is o2.de

I never would have open a link without checking the sender domain.

You should never open a link without checking the domain it goes to. E-mail sender domains can easily be faked!

Never, you cannot fake the headers of an email. Unless o2 has had a DB injection and hosting malware in their services.

You wrote sending domain, not that you checked the email headers.

Hello @rcideos ,

a email concerning the sepa confirmation was sent out from us on the 26th of May. The mandate itself is active so no worries there, you get a few of these reminders automatically sent out.

Kind regards, Sven

Thank you for clarifying, Sven.
