Hello there. I received letter from o2 asking to send MAC adresse because i am using my own router. Can anyone guide me how and where to find link to send it. Thanks

That’s an provider router. O2 will not connect this Router to the Network.

This router is door stopper.

Buy a free AVM Router 66xx or 6591.

Yes. But don’t buy a 20002691 it is a provider router. Ask if this is not an old provider router!!

And the 6660 has not the best WLAN.

Do a factory default reset.

  1. Disconnect the Fritzbox from the power supply for at least one minute.
  2. Click the Forgot Password (Kennwort vergessen) link.
  3. Click on the Restore factory settings button.
  4. Here you can assign a new password

Than connect the FRITZ!Box to the cable. Wait until power LED is on.

Connect to the Router LAN / WLAN.

Logon to the Router http://192.168.178.1 and start the setup Prozess.

Than enter the cm-Mac in the web interface.

If yes it take some hours to activate could be 4 to 8 hours.


Yes i did and i checked after two hours nothing  changed, even old MAC is there and i have option again to change


Change it again. You have to enter the cm-Mac.

Use the same format as shown.

the MAC address you have sent to me belongs to Vodafon. You changed the MAC address eight times by yourself (App). As long as the MAC address ist listed to Vodafone it won’t work.

@Drpop79 than you have to contact the seller. He must call Vodafone to remove the CM-MAC from his account.


This is what i got from guy i bought router

"Also nach Rücksprache mit Vodafone ist sowohl der Vertrag als auch die Mac-Adresse der FRITZ!Box gelöscht. Die FRITZ!Box ist eine freie Box und hat grundsätzlich nichts mit dem Anbieter zu tun. 
Eine weitere Möglichkeit wäre evtl. das zurück setzten bzw. ändern der Mac-Adresse helfen. Dafür solltest du jedoch die Unterstützung vom o2 Support mit verwenden."


And you entered the MAC Adress of the FRITZ!Box with the Artikelnummer 20002910?

You can not change a Mac adress. Vodafone is rejecting the MAC because the address is in use with a Vodafone contract. Now it is on you to solve this problem…

@o2_Andrea bedeutet deine Aussage das es ein VF Router ist oder das die MAC noch mit einem Vertrag verbunden ist?
