I moved out of Germany, took the router and, were it not for o2’s insistance on letters and faxes despite Covid, could have cancelled the contract(s) some time ago. I now have an official document confirming I live abroad - it took time to get this because of Covid so, thanks for that o2!
I have always expected to pay to return the router from abroad; I’ve always expected to pay the three months anti-customer “penalty” but I didn’t expect o2 to not allow email and online termination like more modern organisations. That’s the kind of hi-tech o2 is proud to be.
But where to send the router? I’ve seen the Nurnberg address yet the process for sending via DHL for free (even though I know I will have to pay for sending form Italy) threw up the Wittgensdorf address.
I fear that as well as paying o2 for no service for many months, I will also pay DHL to send the router back to o2 AND I will be charged for the router as well - all of which makes for a negative and expensive o2 customer journey.
Should I just keep the router (to at least avoid the shipping costs) and pay the bill for it?
