Return router

Hi!

I want to return faulty/malfunctioning router, FRITZ!Box 7490.

How exactly it doesn’t work: I see wifi network, password works. At first I thought that “http://fritz.box” doesn’t open, although ping from terminal works. After I waited for 10-15 minutes - fritz.box finally opens, I try to input a password, but it doesn’t work after that at all.

Also, I want to return 49.99 euro for "anschlusspreis", because there was no installation/anschluss from O2, and router doesn't work as intended.

Also, I want to cancel/stop subscription for this router right now and send it back to O2 in Düsseldorf.

The router provision price of EUR 49.99 only includes the provision of the router by o2. No further services are included, in particular no installation by a technician.

The provision price will not be refunded if the customer wishes to return the router. A return to Düsseldorf is not possible because the router logistics are not located there.

Since you write about a Fritzbox 7490, I assume that you have been using the device successfully for a long time. Is that correct?
If the device has been working normally and now no longer works, it is advisable to contact o2 customer service and report a fault. If o2 customer service also suspects a defect in the router, they can arrange for the device to be replaced free of charge.

Hello @Nikolay Ulyanov, welcome to our o2 community :-)

I am sorry to hear there seem to be issues with your Fritzbox. If you at first set up a Fritzbox it may happen that it seems a bit unresponsive. This mostly happens while the box is synchronizing with the DSL signal.

The ecessary credentials to login to the Fritzbox you will find either on a sticker on the bottom of the router or in a seperate information located inside the package.

If there are still issues I recommend to follow @blablup’s tipp and get in touch with our customer service so they can have a look into this.

Regards,

Lars
