Hello,

I would like to order the My Home S Flex LTE WLAN. I understand that a SIM card is also included in the package. I have 3 questions:

1) Must this SIM card be inserted into my mobile phone or the router?

2) Is there a way I could keep my current SIM card and phone number (from Vodafone) while using this WLAN router?

3) In case your answer to 2) is no, how long would it take until I can begin using the new SIM card you give me? I ask this because changing SIM cards can be a hassle, with waiting times possibly going into weeks.

Thanks and hope to hear back soon!

The SIM card is intended for use in a LTE/5G router such as the o2 Homespot 2 or o2 Homespot 5G (2023). As the use of the o2 my Home FMS contract is only permitted at the agreed usage address, the SIM card may not be used on the move in a smartphone.

Hello @comfortablydumb ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

Your first question was already answered by blablup, so I’ll keep to the other two. You can’t keep using the simcard from Vodafone, but you can port a number to a new contract. Aside from that it shouldn’t take too long, generally you should be able to use the contract as soon as you receive the package that also contains the simcard, which will usually take a few days from ordering.

Kind regards, Sven
