O2 my Home M Flex change to 24 month contract and upgrade


I wonder how to change from flex to normal tarif with speed upgrade, I did only found a steps to order new connection, and I assume I need to cancel the previous one.

  • what is the procedure in this case?
  • will I loose my kombi-discount for my mobile if I will do so ?
  • will I get the kombi discount for the dsl (which is in the configurator) when changing the contract from 1-month to 24 months with speed upgrade ?

Hello @master-of-disaster ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

Unlike with mobile contracts, DSL ones can’t be changed or upgraded through the app, that is only possible through the customer service. If your DSL contract is currently enabling the Kombivorteil for your mobile contract, then this will stay the same if you prolong it now, the enabling contract itself won’t be receiving a Kombivorteil though as it is giving this out to another one.

Hi Sven, thank you for answer,

I called the customer service and I was told that in case any action with my current contract I will loose the Kombivorteil unfortunately

and this was about:

  • change from flex to 24 months
  • upgrade the speed

 so there is dead end in this case as just for loosing the Kombi - I will pay 30€ (for 2 mobile contracts) more monthly and in addition more for the upgraded DSL speed

Just writing this here as perhaps someone will have same issue in future

as a rule, the combination discount remains in effect even if you change the main contract (DSL) to a term contract. 
We will be happy to look for an offer here so that the combination discounts continue to apply.
What is your preferred rate?

Thank you for your answer.
if this is so with the Kombivorteil that I will not loose it, I would like to upgrade the line to the max possibile speed at my location so the O2 my Home L Flex or not Flex (the 250MBit/40MBits)
For the availabilty check you can take the address in my account (connected with the same email address like here)

the really tricky question is how I will be treated in my case?

  • as new customer and will have discount for 12 months?
  • as existing customer and I will get additional discount starting 13th month (after end of the previous 12 months discount)
  • or I will pay the ful 39,99€ from the beginning? (of course at flex - this will be the case)

I already have modem which have super VDSL with 35b profile, so I do not need anyhardware

As for confirmation of what I heard from the support line and wrote here - you can check recorded call from Friday 24.03.2023 it started at 13:00 from one of my mobile numbers

you will get treated as a existing costumer and you will get a discount for the full 24 months.

I have now sent you an offer for the o2 my Home L. 

If you like the offer, you can accept it directly in the E-Mail.

Thank you for the offer, I got it. I do not see anything about the loosing of Kombivorteil, therefore I assume that it will persist - am I correct?

if I accept the offer, when it will be changed ? are there any dates? or at the end of current period, or I need to wait another month as there is need that actual contract to be canceled one month before ?

I see you already had contact with the colleagues through another contact channel.
We have received the contract extension here and it is currently being processed.
You should already have received an appointment for the rate change, if not, this will follow shortly.
