No internet access

Hello.

I bought a router (Fritz box 7590) and I could successfully installed the router in my new flat.

However, I can’t get access to internet even though I get the strong wifi from the router.

It seems that there’s something wrong with the DSL line.

I need someone to come to my flat and check what’s wrong with this.

Please help me out with this.

Regards

@TIKIM Have you done the Installation like I write in my tutorial?

How is the status of the LED’s? Did you you an error message than you have enter your o2 DSL username and password?

The LED looks like the below image which seems okay.

And I can also detect the wifi and the signal is strong, but no internet access.

I was asked to enter the password for the Fritzbox, and I did.
However, I don’t think I had a chance to enter O2 user id and password.. And I don’t know what my user ID is for O2. Can someone guide me on this?

@TIKIM Did you don’t get any email from o2 with the email subject „Willkommen bei o2 dsl“ with a pdf document attached or a letter post. In this are you o2 dsl username and password.

o2 Username must have the words @s92.bbi-o2.de or @s93.bbi-o2.de inside.

edited: how you have order the o2 contract? Shop, Online or phone? And is the Fritzbox 7590 rented from o2 or buy by yourself?

Unfortunately, I don’t thing I have gotten anything you mentioned above yet.. Is that mandatory to register o2 username and password to the Fritzbox network in order to use the internet?

I ordered online, and the Fritzbox is purchased separately.

@TIKIM Did get ever an email from o2? Did you have access to your mein o2 customer account? I ask, because after you order and the order was approved from o2 you get a registration link.
If you have access to your mein o2 customer account, I can tell where you found the dsl username and password.

Hello @TIKIM and welcome to our o2 community :-)

If you order a DSL connection with us you will recieve all necessar information to set up your router either via mail or via email. Please have a look at your SPAM folder and also look if you recieved any letters from us.

As soon as the DSL connection is activated you can register online under Mein o2 and will also find the information for setting up your router there.

As soon as the username and password are entred into the setup-wizard of the Fritzbox you should be able to access the internet :-)

Regards,

Lars

Hi,

Yes, I think I have an access to the O2 customs account. But it’s really tricky to use it..

Anyway, could you please let me know how I can find my DSL username and a password?

https://www.o2online.de/mein-o2/zugangsdaten/

Thank you so much for your kind explanation.

However, I have more fundamental issue regarding o2online.de website.

Whenever I try to search or (even login), it always automatically shows the below image (the main page) and nothing happens. I tried 3 different computers and the same result.

Separately, when I click the above mentioned URL, it says page unavailable.

I also tried to reach the hotline, and it only turned out to be a waste of time - no one answers the phone for 30 mins.

Before you can view your contract data, you must register your contract for "Mein o2" and then log in accordingly to your registration.

If you try to access the link with an interested party or community login, you will get an error message because an interested party or community login is not linked to an o2 DSL contract.

The easiest solution is to read your order confirmation or contact the hotline to have the order confirmation resent to you.

@TIKIM And don’t forget that o2 have now an English speaking hotline.

Hi @TIKIM,

did the answers from @Joe Doe, @blablup and @o2_Lars help you to find the information you were looking for?

Kind regards

Larissa
