Since yesterday (Aug 1st) at noon I have no internet connection. The internet light on the router is off.

 

Tried calling the English hotline but they transferred me to another department that only speaks German.

 

The o2 status page doesn't say anything useful, just that there is a malfunction in the region. What should I do next?

I’m assuming you are speaking about a DSL or cable internet connection. The screenshot that you’ve provided is from our LiveCheck for mobile connections, so that shouldn’t have an impact on your internet. Could you please tell us what kind of contract and model of router you are using exactly.

Yes that’s correct, I’m talking about DSL connection, the router I have is a o2 box 6431

if the internet LED on the router is completely off, then something is definitely wrong with your connection and you should get in contact with the technical department as soon as possible. Do you have someone that could maybe translate for you? Or maybe try the chat instead if writing in german is easier for you.

Regardless of the current problem, the o2 Box 6431 should be exchanged by o2 for an o2 Homebox 2 free of charge. The o2 Box 6431 has not received any updates for a long time and should no longer be used. 


Assuming it is a rented 6431 and now one that was acquired second hand from the usual places. But that is something that the technical department will also take into consideration when a ticket is opened for the issue.
