Need to terminate the contract due to move to Korea


Dear O2 team

I have DSL contract with minimum contact period by 26.06.16. However, I would like to terminate the contract earlier, on 31.03.2016, due to my family's move to Korea. Heard that there is "Sonderkuendigung", which could be my case.

Please advise me how I can handle this process, and please send me forms or documents if you necessary.

Hi Jong-Uk,

Basically, a premature termination of the contract would be possible.

To do this we need a written notice and a deregistration certificate from Germany from you.

As finally an interim payment of three months will be charged, you can also cancel your contract in time to the 26.06.

Thank  you very much for your kind answer. I understood what is possible now, but could you kindly give me more clear insight of what actions I should take?

We will be able to do derigistration mid March or a bit later, and then be able to secure the certificate. Should I take any action before the derigistration? And where should I send the documents?

Finally, if I want to cancel the contract in time  to the 26.06 in stead of doing pre-mature termination, what should I do? In this case, is it unnecessary to send certificates and written notice? I am asking this because we will fly to Korea on 28th, March, so some other family will move in before 26.06.

I will send all the information and the form that you have to fill out to your e-mail address with which you are registered here. There you find all the information that you need, where you have to send the documents and which forms are needed.

If you want to cancel the contract just in time, and do not want to do a premature termination you do now need to send the documents like a deregistration certificate. Therefore you just have to send a normal cancellation with your personal dates, the phone numbers or account numbers and your signature to

Please notice: to terminate your contract just in time the cancellation has to be made 3 months before the end of the contract.

Thank you very much for your help. Just one question. I have received the pdf file, but found that this is for cancellation of mobile. In my case I have a service of home phone (030 5459 6771) and internet. Can I use the same form? or could you send me a new form?
