Hi everyone,

I currently have an active internet connection in my apartment, but it’s only available in one room. I’d like to move my modem to another room and have the internet connection set up there.

Does anyone know how I can get a technician to help with this? Is it something my provider would typically handle, or should I look for an external service?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Best regards,
Mohammad

Moin,

to move the socket in another room you should ask an external service.

But maybe it is cheaper to use a network cable and just use the network connection?

Or use wlan?

Thanks for the answer. The problem is that, i need to connect the antenna to a TV, and also move the router (modem) from the kids room, and put it in my office. I am already using WLAN for  devices.

What should I search online to find the related technician? or is it possibleO2 can provide the technician then I can pay the expenses?

So we talk about cable Router (e.g. FRITZ!Box 66xx).

Than you should search for an electrician or you landlord could help you (because he is the owner of the cable in you home).

Hello @moha_akb,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

Yes, like schluej wrote in that case it can be arranged via your landlord or, if it is your own apartment via an electrician to move the internet conenction to another room of your apartment.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
