About how far out are we talking about here? You have to estimate that there is a minimum run up time for a new internet contract of about three weeks.

@o2_Sven I applied on July 27 and the activation date is on August 24. I am in my new apartment without internet.

@schluej If its done then I can tell this story of "that time when a rule was broken in Germany" to my grandchildren.

that is still close to the typical 3 weeks and there can be a number of reasons as to why it’s taking just that little bit longer. You could get a Testkarte to have internet for the time until the activation of your connection.
