Moving to new apartment - DSL line occupied

I am moving to a new city middle of February. My request for Umzug was denied (I was not informed of it until I called the hotline btw) because they said the DSL line is not free. At my address I have option both for cable and DSL internet. Would it be possible in this case to take cable internet instead of DSL?

@Joe Doe already send you precious tips for using cable internet. Unfortunately we are unable to change an existing DSL contract to COAX by now. So if you decide to get cable internet in your new appartment, please sign for a new contract. You can cancel the old DSL within 30 days to the end of each month notice.

    @variolavera What tariff did you have in your old apartment? How you use the Internet? (Want to know your needed down and upload)

    I used DSL M Flex, 50 Mbps. I wanted to have the same package.

    @variolavera Be careful. Cable have only an Upload from 4 Mbit.
