Moved Abroad

Hello,

I have moved back to my home country from Germany due to some family issues and I need to cancel my O2 internet contract under extraordinary circumstances. How do I proceed ? I have the de-registration certificate from Germany but there is no document of moving abroad since I came back to my home country. How should I proceed ?

Dear @Sagnik ,

I got feedback from our colleagues. Your contract will be deactivated to March 10th.

The colleagues have set up a credit entry that is offset against the open items. The rest will then be paid out to you.

You should also have received an email with a letter from us. Does it works for you?

Kind regards,

Andrea

You need a recent document showing your address in your home country. Send that to o2 together with the deregistration certificate from Germany and the completed form https://www.o2online.de/assets/blobs/pdfs/contract-cancellation-moving-abroad/

Thank you for the help! However, the attached pdf contains a deactivation certificate of mobile number. Is there any similar certificate for Internet deactivation?

Also, can I send my documents via mail to an email address as I have moved out of Germany ? If so, could you please mention the email address ?

If this is a DSL contract then you do not need a form, just an informal request to terminate the contract. You could use the contact form: https://www.o2online.de/service/kontaktformular/

Hello @Sagnik ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

You’ve already received some helpful tips and suggestions from bs0, were you able to solve your issue concerning the termination with this or can we support you any further?

Kind regards, Sven

Hello,

I had mailed at the appropriate Mail-ID 3 weeks ago. However, I didn’t receive any response from them.

Hello @Sagnik, did you use the link from bs0 => https://www.o2online.de/service/kontaktformular/

And did you select Extraordinary Termination + upload the “de-registration certificate from Germany” there?

Best regards

Steffen

Dear @Sagnik ,

your form arrived, but the colleagues in the contact form did not recognise what you wanted to cancel and closed it. 😕
I have written to the colleagues in the specialist department so that they can take care of your extraordinary termination.

Kind regards,

Andrea

Dear @Sagnik ,

it seems that another email with the cancellation confirmation was sent to you today.

The payout is still in process.
