Move the Internet connection to a new apartment in a nearby city
Hello,
I am a current O2 DSL customer and would like to move my internet service from my current flat to a new flat in a nearby city.
I have not received my login information for my O2 online account; I believe I missed an email where I needed to confirm my email address in order to get this information. Could you please send me my login information for my O2 account so that I can transfer my internet service?
Thank you
Michelle

Hey @mcp2525,
welcome to the o2 Community :)
Do you register at “Mein o2” with your phone number?
Greetings,
Flo
Hi,
I do not have an O2 phone number - I have no landline and I use another provider for my cell phone service. When I tried to register for my O2 with my phone number, the website said it was not possible.
thank you,
michelle
Hi,
I do not have an O2 phone number - I have no landline
That's impossible. Every o2 DSL contract also includes a landline phone number. You can find it on the o2 order confirmation (email/letter), on every bill, in "Mein o2" and in the menu of your o2 Homebox or AVM Fritzbox. As you are identified by this phone number, you can not use any other phone number than the one that belongs to your o2 DSL contract.
Alright. Didn’t know the“Rufnummer” referred to in my contract is the landline number they ask for when you register on Mein o2. Translation error on my part.
In my dictionary “Rufnummer” translates as “telephone number”. Since DSL=digital subscriber line, as the name suggests, is a line-based transmission technology, the telephone number included in every o2 DSL contract is therefore a landline telephone number. There are no technical similarities between DSL and mobile telephony and you don’t need any mobile phone services to order, register or use an o2 DSL connection. With the monthly basic price for your o2 DSL contract you also pay for a telephone flat rate to all German networks (landline and mobile, except special numbers). Simply connect a landline phone to your VoIP-enabled DSL router to use it.
@mcp2525 what kind of router you use? Did you know your PKK (4 digit pin for identity to the hotline) ?

Thanks for the reply. I have a Fritz box. Yes, I do know my PKK so i can login to Mein o2 now that I know the landline number they require upon registration is the rufnummer in my contract.
@mcp2525 Now you can order the move to the new apartment online.
